SUPER Fun Little Letters Card!!!

Screen Shot 2014-06-27 at 10.00.59 AM.png

I just got these LITTLE LETTERS FRAMELITS - can you imagine all the possibilities???  I LOVE them!!!!  Here's a fun card made by my friend BJ Peters.  We met BJ and her husband Jim in FIJI on our Stampin' Up! incentive trip last year - had so much fun with them!

Here are the deets:

Supplies:

  • Stamp Set:  Papillon Potpourri w-132058 C-123759
  • Cardstock & Ink:  Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Whisper White
  • Punches:  Bitty Butterfly
  • Accessories:  Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Big Shot,  Little Letters Framelits 133730

Measurements:

  • Blackberry Bliss;  Cardstock Base 5 ½” x  8 ½” scored and folded at 4 ¼”,  1” x 4”, + scrap for butterfly
  • Lost Lagoon; 5 ¼” x 4”, 1 x 4”, + scrap for butterfly
  • Whisper White;  5 1/8” x 3 7/8”
  • Hello Honey; 1 x 4”, + scrap for butterfly

Directions:

  1. Fold Blackberry Bliss card base in half.   Adhere Lost Lagoon 5 ¼” x 4” piece to base.
  2. With Whisper White cardstock piece, place Little Letters framelits in position to die cut.  Stampin’ Up!’s magnetic platform is absolutely the best thing since sliced bread to help you with this step.  Since there are some Little Letters framelits that you have to use more than once, just leave the framelits in place – only removing letters like the O and the E to reposition and send through the big shot again.  You can choose whether you add the pieces like the center of the O, A and the P back in later.
  3. Once finished, place dimensionals on the back side of the white piece to give it height from the background.  More dimensionals are better than too few.    Once finished placing dimensionals, place the strips of colored cardstock behind the cut out letters and secure to the cardstock base.
  4. Stamp the butterflies with the same color ink on the cardstock scraps and punch out with the butterfly punch.  Fold in half and secure with a glue dot placed on the fold.  Add a rhinestone in the middle of each butterfly.

Saturday Matinee - Sas-Etate Tutorial Video

IMG_0035

How gorgeous is this card????  This is a combo of a couple ideas - the card front is very similar to a card LeeAnn Greff shared and the inside window sheet idea was shared at our Stampin' Up! gathering in Fiji by Candy Michael....both very talented ladies!  I used Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder with VersaMark ink for the Swallowtail Butterfly - it's just stunning in real life!!!  You can see all the details below.

This is one of the cards that we made on Tuesday in my Technique Tuesday class.  This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced stamper.  We meet once a month on a Tuesday - if you'd like to become a member of this class - you'll get to enjoy the hostess benefit one time out of the 10 classes.  The class is $5 with a minimum $15 order or free with a $40 order.  A new 10 month session will begin in August!  Just pop me an email if you're interested!
