Real Pheasant Feathers!!!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets this fall!  I just love the Harvest of Thanks set! I combined it with the Walk in the Wild set and I have a winner! I needed a masculine design for a swap...and this is what I came up with...just dripping of masculinty!!! 

Jenny Peterson made a similar card using this layout that she shared at the Founder's Circle swap.  You can see Jenny's original card HERE.  Thanks so much Jenny!

Here's a close up of the pheasant....I used Crystal Effects on the bird to make it look shiney, like glass.

Thanks so much to my Uncle Pete for the REAL pheasant feathers!  If you know a bird hunter...just ask them for some too!

 

My card base is Soft Suede with the Woodgrain embossing folder - then I sponged the edges with Soft Suede too.  My tag is 3-1/8 x 2-1/4 - stamped in Summer Starfruit.  I used Early Espresso to stamp the pheasant and colored it with ink and Aqua Painters.  The Just For You is stamped in Cajun Craze.  I used scotch tape behind the tag to adhere the feathers.  What man wouldn't LOVE this card???

NEW Class Location!!!

Just after I came up with my cute little MOO Stamping name earlier this week - I added a NEW location for my weekly stamping classes - Little Chute!  I'm replacing the Menasha classes with this location.  So now I have Little Chute, Oshkosh & Omro...and that gives me 4 letters that can spell COOL!  So there's my new logo!

The new location is at Party and Print, 2011 E Main St, Little Chute. It's in the same strip mall with Hardware Hank.  I met with Eric (the owner) today and I think this is going to be a great partnership!!!  Take a litte drive on Thursday morning and join me!!!

Next Wednesday or Thursday - take some time for yourself and come have some fun with masculine cards! You'll make 6 cards for the men in your life!

Plain & Simple?  I think not!  I just love the color combination and layers of texture on this card...perfect for the men in your life!  I was able to make this card at the Shoebox Swap at the Minneapolis Regional.  It was designed by my very own downline - Kathy Beck!!! 

If you don't have the Square Lattice Embossing Folder - an exclusive from Stampin' Up! - you really need to get yourself one!  I love what it adds to so many different types of cards.

Challenge #72 - Late Night Stampers

I love making masculine cards - so this weeks challenge was right up my alley!!!  This week we are focusing on the boys in our lives.  With Father’s Day coming up we need to get down and dirty and make some manly cards.
