While I was in Utah last month I had the good luck to go to Jill Olson's house (she's my 5th upline) and watch Janet Baker demonstrate how to make this little cutie!!!  She put it on this cute treat bag and gave one to all of us!

Beautiful Sunset

Is this card gorgeous or what????  This is one of the fabulous swap cards I received at the Founder's Circle Retreat in Utah earlier this month.  It's made with a sponging technique and a brayer.  Super easy right???

You can get the AMONG THE BRANCHES stamp set and the WOODLAND EMBOSSING FOLDER as a bundle for a 15% discount too!

Some instructions:

1. So you start by placing a 2" post-it note where the moon is
2. Sponge your Whisper White layer with Crushed Curry ink at the bottom, Cajun Craze in the middle and Cherry Cobbler ink as shown on the card
3. Ink up a brayer in Early Espresso and apply the ink on the raised edges of the trees on the embossing folder- run through the Big Shot
4. Stamp your birds in Black ink
5. Stamp Happy Halloween on white scrap and punch with Word Window punch, layer with Basic Black Word Window punch - apply to card front
6. Remove the post-it note and sponge a little Cajun Craze in the center of the moon

Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5, Crushed Curry 3-7/8 x 5-1/8, Basic Black 4 x 5-1/4, Cherry Cobbler card base

Vintage Spooky

Here's a fun card that was designed by my good friend Dena Rekow - my Technique Tuesday ladies enjoyed making this vintage Halloween card in September.

A little Soft Suede ink sponged over the stamped layer and Woodland Embossing Folder makes it take on a vintage look.  And doesn't that Spider Web Doily add the perfect touch???

Hey - If the Broom Fits!!!

Another cutie patootie card made with the single stamp - If the Broom Fits - hilarious!!!!  This was a fun one to make!

Here's a close up - so you can see the background.  I took the Brick Folder and inked it up with Crumb Cake ink and put my Very Vanilla card stock in it and closed it.  I didn't run it through the Big Shot - just used it as a stamp - cool huh?  I did the same thing on the oval greeting layer.  And don't you just love the Black Glimmer Paper????  I colored my Rhinestones with a  black sharpie marker to make everything come together.

The greeting and spider with web is from the Happy Scenes stamp set...cute!!!

Feature Friday Video - Howl-O-Ween

These treat holders have been a big hit at all my September classes and they are super easy!  They fit those Halloween treats just perfectly and my favorite to put in this is several pixie sticks - remember pixie sticks???  Nothing like pure sugar to make you SMILE!

Scary Stuff!!!

Here's a spooky swap card I had to share with you!!!  The "SPOOKY" is stamped on Crushed Curry and embossed with black embossing powder - it's shiny in real life!!!  And if you look really close you can see some tiny googlie eyes on the spooky eyeballs below and slightly to the right of the embossed Spooky!  Super fun!

Jus' Sayin' - If the Broom Fits?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE funny and this stamp set made me laugh!  So of course - I had to have it!!!!

I made this card to send to a few friends that LOVE funny too! If the Broom Fits is a new single stamp in the Holiday mini catalog on page 48 - told you guys I went a little crazy!  But I do love Halloween! If you look in the photo above you can see that I stamped right on the new Into the Woods Rich Razzleberry 3/8" Cotton Ribbon (this is on page 43) with the little spider web from Happy Scenes (pg 11).  And how about those Spider Web Doilies???  THE BOMB!!!!

And a background stamp that I've had for a little while and I was just itchin' to use - Watercolor Wash - OOOOO LALA - was the perfect background...subtle, but just enough to add a little interest behind my witchy brooms.  You can see all the dimensions and ingredients below.

Supplies: 

Stamps: If the Broom Fits (139693-W), Happy Scenes (139821-P), Watercolor Wash (138704-W, 139538-C)

Paper : 

121045 Basic Black (11 x 4-1/4, scored at 5-1/2 & 3-1/2 x 5-1/4) 

115316 Rich Razzleberry (4 x 5-1/4)

101650 Very Vanilla (3-1/4 x 5-1/4)

139584 Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper (3-1/4 x 1-1/2)

Ink :  126975 Crumb Cake, 132708 Memento Tuxedo Black

Other :  139612 Into the Woods 3/8” Cotton Ribbon, 139622 Spider Web Doilies, 119246 Rhinestone Basic Jewels, 138309 Fine-Tip Glue Pen

Instructions:

1. Add Rich Razzleberry 4 x 5-1/4 layer to Basic Black card front
2. Stamp the Watercolor Wash background stamp at the top of the Very Vanilla layer with Crumb Cake ink
3. Stamp broom image in Tuxedo Black in over the Watercolor Wash near the top
4. Layer onto 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 Basic Black layer
5. Using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen glue Spider Web Doily to the Designer Series layer
6. Adhere Happy Haunting Designer Series paper to the bottom of Very Vanilla layer 
7. Add Rhinestones to the tips of the Spider Web Doily
8. Stamp the spider web from Happy Scenes in black ink on Rich Razzleberry ribbon
9. Tie a loose knot in the center of the ribbon and secure to card
10. Adhere this layer to card front
11. Enjoy!
