Feature Friday Video

While I was in Utah last month I had the good luck to go to Jill Olson's house (she's my 5th upline) and watch Janet Baker demonstrate how to make this little cutie!!!  She put it on this cute treat bag and gave one to all of us!

Glitter Splatter Technique

I just love the clean and crisp look of this swap card I received - and the glitter on the beautiful leaves is the BOMB!!!!  The stamp set is shown on page 88 of the big catalog - called Vintage Leaves.  The matching framelits are on page 172.  GREAT NEWS - you can bundle these items and save 15%!!!  Even BETTER NEWS - these framelits also match the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set on page 44 in the Holiday Mini Catalog and you know how much I LOVE that stamp set!!!!

The leaves were stamped with a dark ink and sponged with Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and Delightful Dijon inks...then die cut using the Leaflit Dies.  It's easier to sponge on your color before you die cut.

Here's a close-up of the Splatter Technique...OMG!!!  It's the bomb!

Here's how you do it:

• Put a dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on a nonporous surface - an acrylic block works great
• Use your Aqua Painter to add a few drops of water to it and stir it up...this needs to be wet enough to splatter
• Then take your Aqua Painter loaded with watered-down glue and tap it on your finger to get it to splatter onto your leaves
• Sprinkle with our amazing super fine Stampin' Glitter - dump the glitter off and WAAA LAAAA!

An Autumn Splash

Here's another pretty fall card that I received from Founder's Circle.  I love the splash of fall colors and the Woodland embossing folder that's sponged to make the trees pop.

Instructions:

1. Emboss the 4 x 5-1/4 Very Vanilla layer in the Woodland embossing folder
2. Sponge the raised trees Crumb Cake ink
3. Stamp leaves with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive ink
4. Stamp the AUTUMN WISHES greeting in Crushed Curry ink and punch with 2" Circle Punch
5. Layer on Cajun Craze 2-3/8" Scallop punched layer
6. Wrap Burlap Ribbon around the Very Vanilla layer
7. Add 7/8" Cajun Craze Scallop and Crushed Curry 3/4" Circle on top
8. Wrap and tie a bow with Linen Thread
9. Add layer to card front

Fall Wreath - Beautiful!!!

 OOOOO LA LA - how beautiful is this???  I absolutely love the BABY WIPE technique and fall colors - it's a perfect combination for some GOR-JEE-OUS cards!!!  This is a swap card I received from my Founder's Circle trip to Utah in September.  You can click HERE to see another card I made and a few instructions on this technique.

Don't you just love this Wonderous Wreath stamp set - it has a matching Framelit set too!!! Fall Scrap Page & Matching Card

I've been super busy working on the scrapbook pages for the next CARD:SCRAP BUFFET on November 10th! And then I came up with the cool idea to make a card that matches my page!  I found a similar page on Stampin' Connection - our demonstrator creative website.  

I love fall colors and distressing goes sooo good with fall.  Don't you just love the button???

I decided to fill my pages with photos that my dad would absolutely love...he loved fall and bear hunting and Northern Wisconsin.  These photos were taken in one of his favorite places with his favorite wife...little chuckle there for my wonderful mom!!!  The first photo shows my dad standing in the beauty of fall listening for the hounds chasing a bear...music to our ears!

Simple & Crisp Masking Technique

 

Here's a stunning card that I received in a swap and was one of the cards available to make at the last Card:Scrap Buffet.  I love the clean & crisp look...and it's an easy one too!  All I did was cut a mask using a rectangle cut out of the middle of a piece of typing weight paper.  I placed the mask over my white layer and sponged it with Old Olive ink.  Lift the mask off and stamp the leaf images in black ink and the ink spots in Old Olive.  I used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig to stamp my words, from the Day of Gratitude stamp set, so they would be "just right" on the edge of the sponged area.  I have a video tutorial that shows how to use the Stamp-a-ma-Jig here:
