One Stamp Set - Three Cards

I had a blast last night!  I was creating cards for my stamping classes for the month of September...and I think I did pretty good.  I set out to do something a little different...use one stamp set for all three projects - and I DID IT! And another little twist - my ladies will be able to choose between two great cards - Fall or Halloween!

If you'd like to come to any of my classes this month - you'll get to make the cards shown below (with a choice between the fall or Halloween ones).  Here are my dates and locations - all classes listed start at 6:30 pm.

We'll be playing with REINKERS - for a baby wipe technique - this is a favorite because the spash of fall is always a great combination!

Here's the Die I used for the THANKS layer...a brand new one for me that I think I'm going to absolutely love!!!

I love the matching framelits for the Fall Fest stamp set...they are so fun! 

 Isn't this pretty???  I love it and this is a perfect stamp to use for this technique.

 

 

I put a baby wipe in the lid of one of my old cases and add REINKERS to fill up the amount of space that the stamp will need.  For this card I used Tangelo Twist, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Cajun Craze.

Cantalope Anyone?

Here are the details for my Wildflower Meadow card.  I just love this background stamp and the matching embossing folder...it's soooo easy!

I used the new In Color Cantalope Crisp ink and cardstock.  The Baker's Twine is Coral Calypso - and it looks just great with this card.  You can see the detailed photo below where I added a strip of Silver Glimmer paper for some bling...and a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter to my hummingbird with a 2-way Glue Pen.

I've been a busy little bee this weekend!  Lots going on...and nice weather too!

I really like this card for it's "clean & crisp" look.  I found the layout online and changed it up just a little bit.  The NEW In Colors - Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush & Baked Brown Suger are yummy enough to eat! Combine those scrumptious colors with the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder and matching stamp set - Mosaic Madness AND matching Mosaic punch - and you've got a winner!  Did you notice in the photo above that the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack has a matching punch - the little flower is the same shape as the Baked Brown Sugar images!!!

Here's a cute card that I made for my May stamp club attendees - who wouldn't want to get this cutie for their birthday?  I'm gonna miss the Aviary stamp set - yep - it's retiring in just one short week!!!! There's 9 different images in this one!

I used Tempting Turquoise for my base.  I folded it in half and the placed the fold in my paper cutter at 3" and cut the edge off.  Don't miss the Dotted Scallp Ribbon Border Punch layer that I used on the right side of the inside layer - that really added that "little extra" that makes this card pop.

.

I also used the Word Play stamp set on the inside - this has been a staple in my card making. ALSO RETIRING!  I'm gonna miss it!!!

Technique Tuesday!!!!

Here's the fun punch card we'll be making....France Martin shared this idea and I just modified it a tiny bit for my class.  I used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper for my shamrock leaves...and they're made out of the large heart punch - how cute!!!  You need to punch 6 hearts and fold them each in half.  Then butt the folded edges up against each other to make 3 hearts.  You glue one side of each heart down so that the fold will pop up the petals.  Easy peasy, lemon squeezie!!!

I also used the Jumbo Rhinestones in the center of my clover and the adorable little stamp set called Itty Bitties from the spring catalog.  My greeting comes from Teeny Tiny Wishes and if you look closely, you can see the splattering of color under the tiny shamrocks - I used the Color Spritzer Tool and an Old Olive Marker.  And the stem was just cut freehand.

I love LOBSTER!!!!

What a GREAT masculine card!!!  I know alot of stampers have trouble coming up with cards for the men in their life....it's always been easy for me...so I had to share this one with you!  This stamp set - BY THE TIDE - is a MUST HAVE....great for man cards and women too.  You can also use soft colors for babies cards!!!

I love when I start playing with a new stamp set and creations just come easy.  That's the way I feel about BY THE TIDE.

I used Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy for the cardstock & ink. I know the lighting in this photo makes the blue look different - but trust me - it's Night of Navy.  I stamped my lobster dude with Black StazOn and then used an Aqua Painter to color it in with Cherry Cobbler ink...I just squished my ink pad lid and used the ink for that.

Are you loving that little anchor???  It comes on the Happy Whale Clearlits Die (shown below).  Now for the Soda Pop Tops - they are the funnest!!!!  (is that a word?)  You put them in between your cutting plates and open both tabs...just run them right through that big boy (Big Shot) and they look like this:

The bottom of the pop tops are a little concave - so you want to attach them with a Dimensional.  And a little about the Natural Trim - it is a perfect embellishment to accompany the pop tops - just fray the ends and it reminds me of netting!

Pinwheels make me SMILE

I don't know what it is about pinwheels - but they always make me smile.  And of course new babies do that too!  Here's a soft card just perfect to welcome a new life into the world...or congratulate an expectant mom at her baby shower or as a birthday card for that bundle of joy in your life.

This card came to me in a swap - I changed a couple little things and had to add that adorable pinwheel.  The tiny brads are pefect for the center. This little die (shown below) is only $4.95 - that's a pretty small price to add so much joy to my card!  And the Cloudy Day embossing folder is just precious.

I used So Saffron cardstock and Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.  The white scalloped edge comes from the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die - I've used this die on so many cards and scrapbooking pages - it's perfect for them - the strips are 12" long!!!  It's such a nice embellishment.

I used Pacific Point & Soft Suede ink for the tickets and added a rhinestone jewel to one of them.  The Calypso Coral ruffled ribbon adds that little pop that was needed.

Whale of a Fun Fold

Here's one of the cards that will be available at the Card:Scrap Buffet on Saturday, February 16th.  How stinkin' cute is this?  The original layout came from my friend Candy Michael in a swap!  And this card was made by Rachael Lienhard - my partner in the Card:Scrap Buffet.

The Bashful Blue layer is 7-1/4 x 5-1/2 - scored at 4-1/4.  The Pink Pirouette layer is 6-1/2 x 4-1/4 - scored at 3-1/4.  She used the 1" circle punch and the anchor from the Happy Whale Clearlit.

Here's one of the adorable cards you'll be making - sure to bring a smile to someone that isn't feeling so good!  I found this card idea online...and just couldn't resist!  I used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper - ummmm FREE - and the Patterned Occasions stamp set - ummmm FREE - and the Sycamore Ribbon & Button set - ummmm FREE!!!!  This card also uses the Vine Street embossing folder from the Spring Occasions catalog.  My card base is Pool Party and I accented it with Rich Razzleberry.  The Large Oval (119855) & Extra Wide Oval (119859) punches work perfect for the faux kleenex box!
