Totally Techniques Blog Hop - Masking with Masking Paper

Welcome to the July Totally Techniques Blog Hop! We are featuring masking techniques this month using the new MASKING PAPER (155480) shown on page 149 in the Annual Catalog. This paper is fabulous - it's just like a giant (5" x 7") sheet of post-it notes with sticky all over the whole thing!

The new MASKING PAPER is just like having ginormous Post-It Notes - WHOO HOO!
I used the smallest dies from the Circle Layering Dies and the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut the circles into the MASKING PAPER. Then I used that on my 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" Basic White layer to add the circles with a Blending Brush. I used Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay inks. The silhouette & label dies and butterflies are from the Meadow dies on Basic Black cardstock. The sentiments on both cards are from Inspired Thoughts.
Dimensions:
- Basic White Think - 11” x 4 1/4” scored at 5 1/2”
- Bermuda Bay - 3 3/4” x 5"
- Basic White - 3 5/8” x 4 7/8” & scrap
- Basic Black - scrap

On this card I used the straight edges of the Masking Paper to blend ink in the center of my front panel. I used the same colors as the card above.
Aren't these pretty? I love the pop of color with the black!
