So much fun tonight! These are all PINWHEEL FUN FOLDS. They lay flat and fit in a standard envelope. This one uses a base of Just Jade with the PENGUIN PLACE stamp set and PENGUIN BUILDER PUNCH. The PENGUIN PLAYMATES DSP is free with a $50 order. I used the BLACK GLITTER PAPER to punch the penguin body out - so pretty right?

The side panel is embossed with the STAR_CROSSED EMBOSSING FOLDER - so fun with half plaid and half stars.

The dimensions for all the cards are the same:

• Just Jade 4 1/2" x 4 1/4" scored at 1", 2", 3" & 4" on the 4 1/2" side
• Just Jade 4 @ 2 3/4" x 4 1/4"
• DSP 4 @ 2 1/2" x 4"
• Fresh Freesia 4 @ 1 3/8" x 4" (embossed)

My next PINWHEEL FUN FOLD is made with the same FREE Designer Series Paper - PLAYFUL PENGUINS but I added the COUNTING SHEEP and SHEEP DIES - both free with a $50 order!  My card base is Misty Moonlight and I used the STAR_CROSSED EMBOSSING FOLDER again.

The sentiment layer is stamped on the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES.

And last I chose the CUTEST HALLOWEEN stamp set and HALLOWEEN PUNCH with the CUTE HALLOWEEN DSP on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I also chose the BLACK GLITTER PAPER for the side panels and a few CUTE STARS ADHESIVE-BACKED SEQUINS.

We are expecting another baby in March!!! Little Miss Val is going to get a baby brother!!! Jared is a mailman...such an adorable annoucement!

BEST CHIP DIP EVER!

• 2 - 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
• 2 beef bouillon cubes
• 1/2 c water

Heat water/bouillon in microwave until dissolved. Add to cream cheese and mix until smooth with electric mixer. Chill and serve with potato chips - DELICIOUS and SO EASY!!! Add a little grated onion if you want to.

Cards & Bingo Class - August

Are you ready for a card class with a little BINGO FUN  thrown in? We had so much fun with this class. Next date is September 29th - registration will open on 9/14 right here on my blog! Watch for it and sign up early!

The CARDS & BINGO class was created with the FRIGHTFULLY CUTE bundle, STRONG OF HEART stamp set and PEACEFUL CABIN bundle. The make and take packet included the five cards shown below with a 1/2 pack of the BLACK GLITTER PAPER, CUTE STARS ADHESIVE-BACKED SEQUINS and RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS with 1/4 pack of the BEAUTIFULLY PENNED DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. WHOA! That's a lot of fun stuff!

Here's the first card everyone will enjoy making. It uses the FRIGHTFULLY CUTE bundle with Granny Apple Green and Gorgeous Grape cardstock.

Next up is this fabulous card! Strips of the BEAUTIFULLY PENNED DSP cut 1" x 3 1/2" layered on the BLACK GLITTER PAPER for a glamorous look. Magenta Madness seemed a good choice for my card base and flower color. This stamp set - STRONG OF HEART - is the GIVE BACK set that Stampin' Up! will donate $3 for each set sold to HEART HEALTH organizations.

And a fun fold! Always my favorite. I used Fresh Freesia for this one.

I love the sentiments in the STRONG OF HEART set - these types of cards are perfect to send at a moments notice. I'm so happy to have them on hand.

The PEACEFUL CABIN BUNDLE is stunning. The images look REAL. I used a BLENDING BRUSH (they are awesome) on the sky with Balmy Blue ink.

And another fun fold!!! This is a Bridge Span Card. The PEACEFUL CABIN was perfect for this layout. I used Smokey Slate and Memento Black ink with a Basic Gray card base.

And with both panels open - WHOA right? So easy and so cool!

Totally Techniques Blog Hop - Watercoloring

Welcome to the August TOTALLY TECHNIQUES DESIGN TEAM blog hop! We are featuring Watercolor Techniques this month! I have a fabulously easy technique for you that produces a unique background every time you do it! You'll find a video tutorial here:

Watercoloring is one of the easiest techniques to do and feel like you are ARTSY!!! I chose to use the BRIGHT BAUBLES bundle for my cards. I love the large images in the stamp set and the dies are to DIE for!

I used the E Acrylic Black and applied my ink directly from the pad to the acrylic block. The key is misting it with water. Don't skimp on the water. You're going to get more blending of colors with more water.

I chose Mango Melody and Melon Mambo for the card below. I love how the colors blend together to make the pretty orange.

I love to use this technique with rich colors and make them POP with Basic Black! The colors used below are Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green - so pretty right? My bauble is die cut from the BE DAZZLING SPECIALTY PAPER - free with your $50 order through 9/30. 

Dimensions:

• Basic Black 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
• Be Dazzling Specialty Paper 5 1/8" x 3 7/8"
• Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper 3 3/4" x 5"
• Basic Black 1/2" x 2 7/8"
• Basic White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
• Melon Mambo or Bermuda Bay 4" x 5 1/4"

The inside sentiment is trimmed from the center of one of the die cut baubles. A fun way to add an inside greeting.

I can't wait to send these out this holiday season - my friends will LOVE them!

 This BAY WINDOW FUN FOLD is so easy and packs a BIG WOW! I chose the gorgeous BLACKBERRY BEAUTY 12 X 12 SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. I don't think you could make a card that was less than stunning with this amazing paper! I also added the BLACKBERRY BEAUTY EPHEMERA PACK - so many elegant elements!

I love the DIS-TINK-TIVE design of the images - they look so real!

Love the red and black print in this paper!

And my last card uses the same paper, just a different print!

I used the STARLIT PUNCH for the side star in Gold Foil.

I'm going to use this as a get well card for a family friend - he'll love it

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration - Creative Inking Blog Hop

This was the first time I've used it and I know I'll be creating with it again. I love scenery stamps and the fonts on the sentiments are so pretty! Here is a video tutorial with lots of tips to show you how to make a set of cards with this set too:

Quick and easy...clean and crisp. I love this set of cards! This one is the Dark Pool Party door. These remind me of the houses you see in tropical locations with their pretty colors! The Timber 3D Embossing Folder is a new one in the Holiday Mini Catalog - fabulous for a subtle look and for all your masculine card needs!

I chose Dark Pool Party, Dark Highland Heather, Light Poppy Parade and Light Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blend Markers with Memento Black ink to stamp the images. The Black Matte Dots add a little embellishing to the sentiment layer.

The inside of each card is stamped with the flower pot image and colored with the coordinating Stampin' Blend Marker.
