Totally Techniques Blog Hop - Baby Wipe Technique

Welcome to the April TOTALLY TECHNIQUES blog hop! We are all featuring projects using the BABY WIPE TECHNIQUE today - OH MY GOSH! There are some very cool things you can do with baby wipes. I tried out a "new to me" technique today - I hope you enjoy it! You can watch a video tutorial here:

Isn't this fancy? There are several different ways to use the BABY WIPE technique. You can create an ink pad with various colors and use it to stamp in or you can add re-inker to a baby wipe and wipe it on your cardstock. So many different patterns and looks! OH MY! And here a SNEAK PEEK at the COLOR & CONTOUR BUNDLE coming in the NEW annual catalog!

Make sure you don't wipe too much on the Basic White cardstock - the baby wipe is wet and this is paper. And don't forget to decorate your envelope - so pretty! I chose So Saffron and Polished Pink re-inker for my scalloped layer and Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp with. The die for the sentiment layer is from STITCHED SO SWEETLY dies.

A little ribbon peeking out from the side adds a nice touch. And the TASTEFUL TEXTILE embossing folder adds that little something extra that this layer needed.

Here's the same card with a Thick Basic White card base - which do you like better?

April Cards & Bingo!

JOIN ME NEXT TIME!

Below is a REPLAY of Cards & Bingo LIVE. When you register for LIVE BINGO you get a whole bunch of fun! We make 5 cards and play bingo in between! The class packet includes pre-cut cardstock for all 5 cards and goodies to make them. This month I included Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack and 1/2 a pack of Regals Designer Series Paper to go with pre-cut cardstock for 5 cards. The kits are mailed out after bingo to include your prizes if you win. You'll have access to the YOUTUBE LIVE video afterwards (link below) to complete your make-n-takes when they arrive. You'll find all the cards from this CARD CLASS below. Those that register for the Make-n-Take packet and kit receive a PDF file that they can print or save to their computer. The file contains all the ingredients, dimensions, photos and a video link to the LIVE class. You can find all the dimensions in the video - but due to time constraints, I did not add them below.

CARD #1 uses the Seaside View stamp set - retiring May 3rd. This fun fold is easy and has so much WOW appeal.

Card #2 uses the Field of Flowers stamp set with the Confetti Flowers Border Punch - both of these are retiring May 3rd too. I used the Crushed Curry from the Regals DSP with the Forever Greenery twine from the ribbon combo pack. 

Card #3 is the same stamp set with a new die coming out in the annual catalog! I used Seaside Spray cardstock and ink - both retiring.

Card #4 uses the Nothing's Better Than bundle - this is carrying over to the new catalog - thank goodness! This card was a swap I received. I chose the Cajun Craze color of Regal DSP and Merry Merlot for the layer under the with layer.

A little pocket on the inside is perfect for a gift card.

Card #5 uses the same bundle with the Retangular Postage Punch and Pumpkin Pie DSP from the Regals pack. This card was designed by one of my team members - Jodi Petersen - I love this fold!

No Stamping...Just Cuteness Overload!

Little Miss Val turns 1!!!

It seems like last week we were talking about WEED LEE and trying to guess her due date and real first name - LOL! We had a fabulous celebration for my little granddaughter on Sunday. Hailey knocked it out of the park with the decorations! And you can see by this first photo that Val loved the Happy Birthday serenade!

 

This was her personal cake and she did not take full advantage of it....no big handful of frosting for this one. Granny will have to work on that for next year!

This game was super hard! Nobody got all the answers right...I did pretty good with only 3 wrong!

This was a fun cake to make.

The FLOWERING CACTUS MEDLEY is so much fun! Here's a card I made using the medley and some BLENDING BRUSHES!!!

A little 3/4" strip on the inside with the fireworks die keeps the cuteness flowing.

Creative Inking Blog Hop - LOVE!

Welcome to the CREATIVE INKING BLOG HOP for April! We are featuring all different kinds of cards with a LOVE theme! I chose to use the LOTS OF HEART bundle - available while supplies last - for some really fun cards tonight. OH MY GOSH right? I just love this pop of color! This is going to be the most HAPPY thank you card!

The LOTS OF HEART BUNDLE is in the JJ Mini Catalog and retiring. It's available until June 30th or while supplies last. And don't forget to add some of the amazing TRUE LOVE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. One side has gorgeous floral images and the other more general patterns. This paper is so cool for a ton of different techniques. Also retiring is the CLASSIC LABEL PUNCH. One of my all time favorites!

Here's the inside - just a simple polkadot heart with a little thank you that leaves me plenty of room to write my message.

Dimensions:

• Mango Melody 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
• Basic White 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" & 3/8" x 4" & 4" x 5 1/4" (inside)
• True Love DSP 3 3/4" x 5"

One of my cards uses a MANGO MELODY card base and the other MAGENTA MADNESS. Which do you like better?

And what do you think of this cool technique? Chevron paper piecing? A fabulous idea to use up all those strips that you get when you're cutting your designer series paper! The card below uses Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay cardstock.

It's easy and fun! This one uses Calypso Coral with Petal Pink cardstock.

Love these MAN cards using the BEST PLAID DIES and HANDSOMELY SUITED stamp set.

Dimensions:

• Pacific Point 11" x 4 1/4" & scrap - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
• Well Suited DSP various scraps & 3/4" x 4" (inside)
• Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" & scraps

This is an inlaid technique - die cut several layers of the DSP in the Best Plaid Die and reinsert them into the squares of the Pacific Point grid. Fun right? The label is from HIPPO & FRIENDS DIES. And I embellished the label with the MATTE BLACK DOTS and gray baker's twine from the WELL SUITED TWINE COMBO PACK. Don't forget to add a 2 1/2" x 6" layer of the DSP to your envelope flap.

From all the scraps I die cut above I trimmed out a tic tac toe board and make the card below! I used a couple dies from the MANY HEARTS DIES. So fun right?

This is a vertical easel card - so fun!!! I used the FLOATING & FLUTTERING bundle with the HAPPY THOUGHTS sentiment stamp set. FINE ART FLORAL DSP was a perfect choice to go with the butterflies. I love the way these turned out!

I used the DARK MANGO MELODY STAMPIN' BLEND MARKER to color the OPAL ROUNDS. This color matches best with the BUMBLEBEE cardstock.

The sentiment is attached to two 1 1/2" circles folded in half. Watch the video - this is hard to explain.

I made this one from Poppy Parade cardstock and my butterflies are Pool Party.

Here's a view from the top.

And I made one with RICH RAZZLEBERRY. My butterflies are stamped with BLUSHING BRIDE ink.

These are really cool! I hope you'll give them a try and make some for your friends and family.

I chose Daffodil Delight with Basic White and Basic Black cardstock for this card. Memento Black ink for my sentiment from the BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP stamp set and Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizzazz ink for the flowers and leaves. Embellished with black and white baker's twine from the PLAYFUL PETS COMBO PACK and a few RHINESTONE BASIC JEWLS and I think we have a winner - what do you think?

I was really surprised at how well all the bits and pieces came right out of the BEST PLAID BUILDER DIES with a little help from my TAKE YOUR PICK DIE BRUSH. Easy peasy!

I have some big decisions to make - which card to give to my mom for her birthday and which one to give to my step-daughter Anna - both will be celebrating their special days soon!

Don't forget to decorate those envelopes! It's so much fun to see some PRETTY when you open your mailbox! This card is Coastal Cabana and Pool Party. Delicious!

And then we have some purples - I used Highland Heather for my base and flower ink and Gorgeous Grape for the thin plaid die.

Make those insides pretty too! The party should not end when the card is opened!

The scalloped layer is our fabulous VELLUM CARDSTOCK - such a soft and pretty touch don't you think?

CARDS & BINGO ONLINE CLASS

I'll be demonstrating 5 cards LIVE and we'll be playing STAMPIN' BINGO in between! SUPER FUN! Pre-register now - packets will be limited.

DATE: Wednesday, April 28th

TIME: 8 pm eastern time; 7 pm central; 6 pm mountain; 5 pm pacific time

COST: $35

LOCATION: YOU TUBE LIVE - LINK will be posted closer to the 4/28 class date

DEADLINE: Wednesday, April 21st at noon central time

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• You must register for the make-n-take packet to play. It will include cardstock layers to make 5 cards!
• You'll receive products worth $15-$20 in your make-n-take packet!
• Four games of bingo in between 5 card demonstrations.
• Below you'll find stamp sets that I'll be using for the first CARDS & BINGO CLASS (coming soon). You can add them onto your registration if you don't have them. Or you can use your own stamp sets of similar size/theme - it's up to you.

OTHER TIDBITS

• I'll email you a link (it will also be posted on my blog and Facebook) to a LIVE YOU TUBE video.
• You will click on the video link at the time shown above (your time zone) to join the LIVE.
• The YouTube Live Video will be available to replay over and over!
• Registration for the make-n-take packet is only available to US participants.
• Make-n-take packets will be shipped after the event, including prizes & add on products.
• Prizes will be based on how many register for the card class - the more playing, the bigger the prizes!
• The cards pictured above are just for advertising purposes - we will not be making them.

HOW TO PLAY

• You will choose 5 numbers between 1-25. You will list those numbers on your registration form. Please write them down so you know them.
• I will email you no later than 1 day prior to the CARDS & BINGO date (4/27).
• I will also include the YOU TUBE LIVE LINK in that email - you will click on the link at the time listed above and enjoy your stamping class with some BINGO fun!
• Please go to YouTube now to create an account with them if you do not have one. It's just like creating an account with Facebook or any other website. You must have an account in order to comment on a video.
• Once you complete the form below - you'll receive a PAYPAL invoice and payment of that invoice will confirm your registration.
