A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - A Kit in Color

Welcome to the MAY Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. We are featuring alternate ideas with the A Kit In Color kit this month. I love the rainbow images and  the sentiments are perfect!!! Sit back and relax and have fun watching this video:

Here's all the wonderful products included in the May kit - MY GOODNESS YOU GET A LOT!!!!

This first alternate idea uses a banner made out of the striped card base from the kit with a vellum overlay.  I wrapped it with the Magenta Madness Baker's Twine and tied a bow at the top of the banner. The HEY is stamped with Misty Moonlight ink - a brand new In Color ink spot included in the kit - on the large die cut cloud. That's popped up on Dimensionals. I stamped the You're Amazing with VersaMark Ink and embossed it with White Embossing Powder. The enamel flowers just add to the charm - don't they?

Dimensions:

• Rainbow Stripe layer 2" x 4 1/4"

 

For this card I pulled out the brand new Magenta Madness In Color cardstock for my card base and the layer under the printed rainbow. The Purple Posy printed layer is from the envelope inside that I disassembled and cut to fit. I stamped the sentiment from Well Said with Memento Black Ink and die cut the word YOU in Basic Black from the Well Written Dies. The medium sized cloud is popped up on Dimensionals. Two lengths of baker's twine were used to tie a bow and attach it to the cloud with a mini glue dot.

Dimensions:

• Magenta Madness 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
• Cut rainbow printed layer to 2 1/2" x 3 1/8"
• Purple Posy Print from envelope - 4 7/8" x 3 5/8"

WOW!! I got a little "Kelly Fix"...........have been in withdrawal since you've been on the road!!
Looks like you are having a good time. Enjoy the gals & the margaritas!! I love the alternative card ideas.....maybe I will have to try Paper Pumpkin.
