Totally Techniques Blog Hop - 3D Punch/Dies

Welcome to the February Totally Techniques Blog Hop! We are featuring the 3D techniques with punches or dies today. I had so much fun making these bright & cheerful cards with the Please As Punch Designer Series Paper. It's only available until March 31st or while supplies last.

One of my cards also has a diagonal corner and pop up on the inside! I have a video tutorial that shows all the details here:

My first card features a fun 3D heart shaped balloon made with the HEART PUNCH PACK - two punches that layer perfectly! One is a scallop...the other is not. Isn't this paper so fresh and fun? It's the PLEASED AS PUNCH DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. And I used the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES for my sentiment layer - LOVE THOSE!!!

Dimensions:

• Mango Melody 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
• Whisper White 2 @ 4" x 5 1/4"
• Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper 3 3/4" x 5"

My second card is a fun fold - I'm calling it a diagonal pop up...the pop up is in the inside!

Dimensions:

• Pool Party 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
• Whisper White 4" x 5 1/4"
• Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper 4" x 5 1/4"
• Pop up - measure 3" from the center score line on the left & the right and 2" down - score diagonal lines to meet in the center

You can add anything to the inside pop up part. When you close the card the pop up image folds down inside.

I love the soft colors of this card. I used Pool Party and the PLEASED AS PUNCH DSP.

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Lovely Day

Welcome to the February Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop. We are featuring alternate ideas with the LOVELY DAY kit this month. This kit is so pretty!!! I love the beautiful floral image and the cake is adorable!!!

LOVELY DAY KIT REFILLS

This kit will be everyone’s favorite for creating lavish, lovely projects; that’s why I recommend ordering refills today. My first alternate card uses the Rose Metallic Thread and Copper Foil Sheets to add a little bling to this fun birthday card. I used Memento Black ink for the sentiment and Rococo Rose, Petal Pink and Daffodil Delight Blends to color the flowers and candle on the cake. Add Wink of Stella to the white part of the cake for some super pretty glimmering frosting.

My second alternate card uses the Stitched So Sweetly dies for the rectangular scalloped Whisper White layer. I embossed the floral image and sponged it with Pretty Peacock for an Emboss Resist technique. Add a few rhinestones to give it a little bling and you have a quick and easy card on the Pretty Peacock card base.

Here's a close up of the embossed flower - don't forget to polish it with a tissue to make it pop.

And last is the Bag-A-Lope. You can make one of these out of any envelope. It always pops into my head when I see tall envelopes like the ones included in the LOVELY DAY kit. Score on three sides at 1/2" and fold to turn your envelope into a Bag-A-Lope. I added a copper clip from the Tags & More Accessory Kit.

Creative Inking February Blog Hop

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop for February! We are concentrating on using products from the COORDINATION PRODUCT RELEASE and/or the 2nd RELEASE SALE-A-BRATION products coming out March 3rd. I chose the COORDINATION PRODUCT RELEASE and the fabulous BIRTHDAY DIES with the HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU stamp set - the set is FREE with a $50 order.

I love how these turned out! Pairing the stamp set and dies up with the GOLDEN HONEY SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER for a little black/white worked out pretty good - don't you think?

Here's my first card. I used Real Red with a black & white theme. I love the striped paper from the GOLDEN HONEY SPECIALTY DSP. Just that little strip does so much for a card! The Blends make coloring so easy!

Here's the inside - I decided to spruce it up a little with a Real Red layer and little 1/2" strip of the DSP.

Dimensions:

• Thick Whisper White 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
• Basic Black 3 7/8" x 5 1/8"
• Real Red 3 3/4" x 5" & 4" x 5 1/4"
• Honey Bee Specialty Designer Series Paper 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" & 1 1/2" x 3 3/4"
• Whisper White 3 3/4" x 5"

I love the DSP because you can make the black & white patterns any color with ink or blends. That makes this paper so versatile. And using the HOT AIR BALLOON PUNCH for a vase takes the punch to a new level.

You can see how pretty the Dazzling Diamonds Shimmer Paper is in this photo...and also a little of the Wink of Stella on the flower centers.

February Online Class & TWO Gorgeous Cards - Painted Poppies

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! 

I hope you have a day filled with LOVE! I'm going to have an interesting time with the hubby. We are going to Waverly Beach for lunch and to see the WEIGH INS for the sturgeon spearing season. FUN!!!

I had so much fun making these cards. The PEACEFUL POPPIES ELEMENTS are so fun and easy to use. You'll find a picture of them a little further down.

Did you like coloring with the Wink of Stella on the flowers. The picture doesn't do it justice - it's so pretty in real life.

I am in love with the PAINTED LABELS DIES - there are so many fabulous elements in this pack.

Here's a close up of the Wink of Stella on the flowers stamped in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake cardstock - so charming.

I really like how this card turned out. Using the Wink of Stella to bleed the coloring with markers on the embossed flowers from the watercolor elements in the PEACEFUL POPPIES ELEMENTS was something new for me. I also love how easy it is to color the WHISPER WHITE CRINKLED SEAM BINDING with the Stampin' Blend Markers. You can make any color you have a marker for!

Wait...WHAT? & Joke of the Week

I have some great tips for you today to sharpen up your MAD YOUTUBE skills! I'm using an iPad but a lot of the things I talk about are universal on various devices. You'll find it all here:

If you're viewing my blog on your iPad you'll find that part of the video is hidden off the right side of your screen when your device is in a portrait mode:

To view the entire video you can turn your iPad or device to the landscape mode (sideways like a TV screen) and you'll get to see the entire video:

To make the video fill up the entire screen so you have a larger view - just click  the little white arrow box shown below:

BOOM! Now the "video" is filling up your screen:

When I talk about links to see still photos and dimensions on my blog - you will click on that tiny little arrow and all the details that I share under every video will appear (second green arrow) so you can click on the link to my blog or you can scroll down and see a complete list of products used to make the projects AND you can even click on those products and it will take you right to my online Stampin' Up! store where you can get all the details and shop!
