I decided to feature some winter themed THANK YOU cards so I have them to send to my family for all the Christmas presents I received. I think they'll love the snowflake cards with the ITTY BITTY CHRISTMAS BUNDLE! And we need to be getting ready for Valentine's Day - it's just around the corner!

The MERCURY GLASS DESIGNER ACETATE makes a spectacular background for any card! I love the peek through of color here - this one is Purple Posy - so pretty right? The Designer Acetate is in the Holiday Mini Catalog and only available until Jan 2nd - get yourself some before it's gone.

I love how BLINGY this card is - but simple to make!

This one is SEASIDE SPRAY - another pretty choice.

And ROCOCO ROSE - so soft.

I love the new FROM MY HEART SUITE in the Occasions Mini Catalog - this catalog starts on January 3rd!!! It includes the HEARTFELT BUNDLE - stamp set and heart punch pack! It also features 3/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon, Faceted Gems, Heart Doilies and Heart Foil Tins along with FROM MY HEART SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - so pretty!

 

To decorate your envelope flap - cut a piece of DSP 2 1/2" x 6" and glue it to the flap. Use your Paper Snips to trim around the flap - so easy and such a big wow!

That layer of scalloped Vellum Cardstock is such a soft and easy touch - don't you think?

I can't wait to send out my Valentine cards!

Sneak Peek - The Gang's All Meer

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! This was suppose to be a blog hop post but apparently I was the only one that was participating - LOL! So you'll just have to gush over my fun little cards - OK with you?

Aren't they just the cutest? I would call them Stinkin' Adorable!!!! I used the Bronze Stampin' Blend marker to color these guys with Crumb Cake for the ground.

Don't forget to slip a scrap inside your envelope if you're going to color with the Stampin' Blend markers - they bleed through to the other side and you don't want a mess on the back of your envelope. I used Granny Apple Green & Poppy Parade for the cactus and Light Crumb Cake for the ground.

They make me so HAPPY!!!

Creative Inking Blog Hop - Tis the Season

Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop for December! We are featuring a theme of TIS THE SEASON or Mini Catalog Sneak Peek...I chose TIS THE SEASON because I am creating lots of Christmas presents right now!!! Today I'm featuring some wine glass charms made out of Shrink Plastic - remember SHRINKY DINKS??? They are so fun and you can use your heat tool that you emboss with to shrink them!!!

Here's my wine glass charm using the PLAYFUL PENGUINS stamp set:

And the card that I'm using to display them. I think I'll put them in a little gift bag wrapped in tissue paper.

The snowman on the left is the clear shrink plastic and the one on the right is white shrink plastic - which do you like better?

I used the Sip Sip Hooray stamp for the martini glass, the largest Stitched Shapes circle die for the snowman and the largest Oval Stitched die for the penguin key chain.

Aren't they fun???? I love SHRINKY DINKS!!! You could also use them on your cards and scrapbook pages as embellishments. What other ideas are running through your head for these?

THE BEST OF...Wait...WHAT? & Joke of the Week

Hey everyone - I had to do LIFE yesterday and spent the day running errands...Post Office...ordering new glasses...searching for a clock...Christmas shopping...stopped in to visit the "Little Mama" & Jared...so I am featuring the BEST of my tip videos so I can take a little time off this week. You may have missed this one or you'll refresh your memory - either way - it's a GREAT technique! The Sunshine Sayings and matching dies are retired but I'm sure you can improvise. I hope you enjoy!....

I have a fun new watercolor technique for you today called WATERCOLOR DRIP! There are several different ways to do this technique and each one will turn out different.

The 1st sample below uses Call Me Clover, Bermuda Bay and Blueberry Bushel reinkers. The 2nd sample uses Calypso Coral, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade reinkers. And the 3rd sample uses Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Berry Burst reinkers. I love these color combinations!

I am set for upcoming retirement cards - don't you think these will be perfect? I hope you'll give this technique a try - sometimes doing techniques like this can be scary but I want you to remember IT'S JUST PAPER! Be adventurous!!! I love the size of the dies in the SUNSHINE WISHES DIES - they are the perfect size for my cards. This set of dies and the coordinating stamp set SUNSHINE SAYINGS are retiring. They will be a fabulous addition to your arsenal of stamping supplies!

One for him and one for her! This easel calendar card is sure to impress! And it makes a great gift for the new year. This is the one that would work for the men in your life and don't think they won't be impressed that you made it! Men love the "engineering" of fun folds.

And then you need to be prepared for those winter sympathy cards this time of year. This one is serene and peaceful. I love the detailed pine cone die with the Champagne Foil Paper. So elegant right? I used the Peaceful Boughs bundle and the sentiment set Kindness & Compassion with Merry Merlot, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla with Mossy Meadow pine boughs. My ink is Mossy Meadow with Early Espresso.

This little box is adorable! You'll find a template below showing you how to cut it to make it all "happen." The POP UP is hysterical! You can easily make a pop up for any occasion with a little 1/2" strip of our Window Sheets! And the #Elfie stamp set is just stinking adorable right? I chose to use the following Stampin' Blends: Light Bermuda Bay, Dark Real Red, Ivory, and Bronze. The ground under the elf on the little note card is Light Crumb Cake.

• Large Box (the one I made) 10 1/2" x 8" scored every 2 1/2" (2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" & 10" on the long side and 2 1/2", 5" & 7 1/2" on the short side)

The SNOWMAN BUILDER PUNCH is perfect for the 3D technique - your punch has to be symmetrical to work for this. Flirty Flamingo is a fun girlie card color.

Coastal Cabana is one of my favorite colors - who doesn't love Coastal Cabana?

And Pacific Point - bright and cheerful right? This color really pops!

Here's a close up and good photo of the WINTER KNIT 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER on the Whisper White layer. Sometimes it's so hard to see the detail in a photo.

New Online Class - Snow Front!!!

There's a brand new online class in my lineup today! The SNOW FRONT stamp set is one of those diamonds in the ruff so to speak. It's super easy to design beautiful landscape scenes with and make some amazing masculine cards. I just know you're going to love it! Thanks so much to Cathy Miller for granting me permission to use her design for my video today. I love the BASIC GRAY card base and paired it with Silver Foil Sheets and Real Red birds for a little pop.

And then I decided to see how the card would look using BERMUDA BAY as the base:

And I couldn't stop myself - had to try BLUEBERRY BUSHEL too!

The inside shows off that adorable little snowman - I love him!
