Totally Techniques Blog Hop - Baby Wipe Technique
01/25/2019
Thanks for hopping today with the TOTALLY TECHNIQUES INTERNATIONAL DESIGN TEAM! We are featuring the BABY WIPE technique from all over the world! You may have just arrived here from Marine Wiplier's blog or maybe you're starting with me - however you got here, please make sure you scroll down and click on the NEXT button down below to continue on the hop.
I tried out a "new to me" technique with ink and baby wipes called BABY WIPE WATERCOLOR and I love the way it turned out! What do you think? I love the blending of the two colors - I'll bet you'd never believe that these soft colors are actually Real Red and Daffodil Delight?
I have a video tutorial to show you how easy this technique is and I love that each one will turn out a little bit different:
If the video above does not play - click HERE to watch it on my blog.
Here's the first card I made with the technique and the Be Mine Framelits. I made the panel of color first and then decided that it would be beautiful on a Valentine card.
Dimensions:
- Whisper White Thick 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
- Flirty Flamingo 4" x 5 1/4" & scrap
- Whisper White scrap
- Watercolor Paper 2" x 5 1/4"
Here's a close up of the Baby Wipe Watercolor Technique:
And my next card features the same technique. I used the large heart from the BE MINE FRAMELITS to due cut the large heart - it cuts out two at once - the outside and inside. I used a piece of Whisper White for the scalloped layer. The PETAL PAIR embossing folder was the perfect accent for the background on Powder Pink cardstock.
Dimensions:
- Whisper White Thick 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2"
- Powder Pink 4" x 5 1/4" & scrap
- Whisper White scrap
- Watercolor Paper scrap
Here's a close up of all the gorgeousness going on with my heart!!!
What do you think? You like? I can't wait to send these beauties out!!!
