Welcome to the December Totally Techniques Blog Hop - we are featuring SIMPLE STAMPING today! Inks, paper and stamps using only a single layer. WOW - that can be a challenge right? Well I chose the INCREDIBLE LIKE YOU stamp set and it was perfect for this challenge. It's a new set coming out January 3rd in the Occasions Mini Catalog - did you get one yet? They are arriving in mailboxes around the world this week!!!!

Here's a set of 4 cards and matching envelopes that I'm sharing today. I used the NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES available in the Annual Catalog on page 193. You get 20 note cards and 20 envelopes for only $6.50. They are available in Whisper White or Very Vanilla. I love them!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Day by Day

Welcome to the December A PAPER PUMPKIN THING blog hop - the DAY BY DAY kit is just adorable!!! You can make an 18 month calendar and then you'll have lots of tags left over and the adorable stamp set! I love these types of stamp sets - they are the BOMB!!! They don't look like much but there are soooo many possibilities with these little stamps! Here's what I came up with:

Aren't these crisp and clean? I love this look. It's fresh and fun and ohhhh so easy to make! I used the Starburst Punch for the layer under that super cute greeting punched with the 2" Circle Punch. That's also popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Card Dimensions:

• Pool Party or Grapefruit Grove base 11" x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2", 2 3/4" x 5 1/4" & scrap
• Whisper White 4" x  5 1/4" & 2 1/2" x 5 1/4" & scrap

And then this box looks like it would be a little tricky - BUT IT'S NOT!!! It's so easy and you'll love it when you make it. You can make your own Designer Series Paper to decorate the inside and outside or you can use any of our beautiful Designer Series Papers.

Dimensions:

• Grapefruit Grove 9 3/4" x 3 1/4" scored on the long side at 3 1/4", 4 3/4" & 7 3/4"
• Whisper White 4 3/8" x 6" scored on the long side at 1 1/2" & 4 1/2" and the short side at 1 1/2"
• Whisper White panels 2" x 2 3/4", 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" & 2 @ 3" x 3"

What a cute little gift combo don't you think? For this card I used one of the TO/FROM tags and stamped on the back...easy peasy lemon squeezy!!!!

I love how bright and cheerful these colors are and the icing on the cake is how easy they are to make!

2018 Highlight - Stamparatus Template Tool

Merry Christmas Eve!

I thought I'd share one of your favorites from 2018! This video received a ton of views and I thought it was worth a REDO. You'll love how easy it is to make multiple cards using the Stamparatus for a template - die cut 1st and stamp 2nd!

The Lilypad Lake and the Lakeside Framelits are so gorgeous! I am in love with this new bundle. My head is spinning with all the gorgeous ideas using it! I can't hardly wait to share more with you. But for now - here's a card I designed for a swap.

I really like the line images on my card base - I stamped it in black and thought it was a cool element for my card. I used an Aqua Painter and ink from the lid of my ink pads to color in the lilies on my greeting layer.

Below you'll see a different pattern from the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper on the right - this one looks great too!

And they are done - 21 pretty swap cards!

Creative Inking Blog Hop - Celebrating Winter

Welcome to the Creative Inking blog hop featuring a WINTER THEME for December! You might have just arrived from Barb Mullikin's blog or you might be starting here...either way you're in for a treat with this talented group of stampers. I chose the SPIRITED SNOWMEN for my card today. And chose to make a winter themed birthday card and matching treat holder for a friend. I'm so happy with the way it turned out - I can't wait to give it to her!

I chose Pool Party and Whisper White for my colors - bright and soft - perfect for winter right? I stamped my snowman with Memento Black ink and colored it in with Stampin' Blends markers. And then I FUSSY cut it - it wasn't hard at all - you'll find some tips in my video above that show you how easy it is.

The Birthdays Thinlits is awesome as an inside greeting too! I love how fancy this looks!

Here's a close up where you can see the snowflakes I stamped with Frost White Shimmer Paint - super cool! 

This little slanted box is so stinking adorable with the CABLE KNIT DYNAMIC embossing folder - I love the little layers that look like a sweater. I will be featuring a video for this treat holder next week...so make sure you watch for that.

I chose to put some kisses in mine - but I think chapstick or nail polish would fit good too.

Control Freaks December 2018

Welcome to the December Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! This month our theme is OCCASIONS & SALE-A-BRATION PREVIEW!  You may have just arrived from Cindy Elam's blog or you might be starting right here - either way we have a fabulous sampling of some great projects using products that will be available on January 3rd!

I am overjoyed with the SO HOPPY TOGETHER stamp set! These frogs are stinkin' adorable and I had a blast making a rainbow of cards with them. The first card has a Calypso Coral card base and a Gorgeous Grape scalloped circle behind the colored frog image. This color combo was taken right from the Color Coach and I was a little skeptical when I decided to use it...but I think it's a bright and fun combination - what do you think?

I kept the inside simple - so I can grab these cards and use them for anything I might need.

Supplies

Stamp sets: Banners for You (141710); Swirly Bird (141749)

Ink: Blueberry Bushel (147138), Mango Melody (147093), Pear Pizzazz (147104), Gray Granite (147118)

Paper: Whisper White (100730); Gray Granite (131202), Blueberry Bushel (146968), Mango Melody (146989)

Other: SNAIL adhesive (104332), Best Route Washi Tape (146901), Best Route Enamel Shapes (146900), Big Shot (143263), Magnetic Platform (130658), Layering Squares framelits (141708), Swirly Scribbles thinlits (141497)

 

Measurements   

•   Whisper White: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, scraps for flowers and leaves
•   Gray Granite: 2” square
•   Mango Melody: 2” square
•   Blueberry Bushel: 2” square

 

Instructions

1. Fold Whisper White card stock in half to create card base.
2. Stamp three flowers on scrap Whisper White: 1 Mango Melody, 1 Gray Granite, 1 Blueberry Bushel. Diecut using Swirly Scribbles die.
3. Stamp three leaves onto Whisper White scraps, using Pear Pizzazz ink. Diecut using Swirly Scribbles leaf die.
4. Diecut three squares: 1 Mango Melody, 1 Gray Granite, 1 Blueberry Bushel. Diecut smaller square inside larger squares to create frames.
5. Add three Best Route Washi Tape strips across bottom of card front.
6. Attach three frames to front of card, using SNAIL adhesive. Overlap frames.
7. Using Snail Adhesive, attach three diecut flowers and 2 leaves for each flower.
8. Ink phrase using Blueberry Bushel ink. Stamp outside frame.
9. To complete card, add three Best Route Enamels Shapes.
