Bye Bye Rose Wonder

Oh how I will miss this bundle! I've had so much fun making elegant cards with it. It's retiring but still available if you need to add it to your stamping supply MUST-HAVES. This card uses BRUSHO for the beautiful colors inside the embossed rose and leaves.

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • STAMPS – Rose Wonder (140697)
  • PAPER – Watercolor Paper (122959), Always Artichoke Cardstock (105119) Vellum Cardstock (101856)
  • INK – Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad (132708), Versa Mark 102283)
  • OTHER – Brusho Crystal Colour (144101), Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder (141636), Stampin’ Spritzer (126185), Aqua Painter (103954), Liquid Multipurpose Glue (110755)

Here are some basic instructions:

  • Spritz the watercolor paper with water using the Stampin’ Spritzer. While it is wet sprinkle the Moss Green Brusho onto the bottom right corner and the top left corner. Sprinkle the Gamboge Brusho onto the center part of the watercolor paper. Allow the water to spread the color around if needed us the Aqua Painter to get the look you desire. Set aside to dry completely. When it is completely dry, stamp the Sentiment using Tuxedo Black Ink (NOTE) Fill the Aqua Painter with Rubbing Alchohol.
  • Using the Versa Mark stamp the rose image onto the vellum. Sprinkle with the Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Emboss with heat gun.
  • Sprinkle some Gamboge Brusho onto a clear block, using the Aqua Painter mix the powder and then apply to rose image. Repeat this technique using the Moss Green and apply to the leaves.
  • Trim around the stamped and embossed image.
  • Adhere the watercolor paper to the card front using the multipurpose glue. Using a sponge apply the multipurpose glue to the back of the vellum image and apply to the watercolor paper as shown in photo.

Cutting & Scoring:

  • Cardstock Always Artichoke- 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
  • Watercolor Paper – 4” x 5 ½”
  • Vellum Cardstock – 4” x 5 ½”

How sad that a beautiful rose stamp and die should be retiring. I haven't got this set and probably will not be able to get it either before the end of May. I should have been more pro-active and got it for Christmas or my birthday in January. Will just have to watch the videos where it is used instead to get my fix! LOL :O)
