Welcome to the TOTALLY TECHNIQUES MARCH BLOG HOP! This month we are concentrating on a technique called CRINKLED INK! That's right! As I was thinking of color combinations it popped into my head that this technique would make a great PACKER BACKER card!!! So in honor of the Green Bay Packers football team - I came up with this! Crushed Curry and Tranquil Tide are perfect!!! You can make a color combo for highlight a favorite team for just about anyone!

This one is Crumb Cake and Pacific Point:

And for the girls I chose Berry Burst and Basic Black:

• Card base 4-1/4" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
• Layer #2 4" x 5-1/4"
• Whisper White layer 3-3/4" x 5"

It smells soooo good!

Lavender that is! This is the LOTS OF LAVENDAR stamp set - FREE with your $50 order during Sale-a-Bration. And don't forget it all ends on Saturday!!!! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN:

This is a 2-Step stamp set - I LOVE THOSE!!! I chose Sweet Sugarplum for my card base. I stamped the outline of flowers on the card base with the same ink color and Pear Pizzazz for the leaves. Then I stamped the outline flowers in black and the watercolor image in Sweet Sugarplum on the Whisper White layer. Kind of a cool look don't you think?

The Organza Ribbon was a good embellishment to run right above the greeting from the Petal Palette stamp set. Another one of my favorites!

It's always hard to see in photos - but can you see the glimmer on the flowers? I used the Wink of Stella glitter brush - it's soooo pretty in real life!

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - May Good Things Grow

I think you love what we've created with the March Paper Pumpkin Kit - MAY GOOD THINGS GROW - it's soooo cute!

 

I love the vintage feel of this month's kit! I found this kit super easy to create my projects with - don't you just love it when things FLOW together effortlessly?

Here's my first card and a little milk carton that's super easy to make - it can hold a Lindor Truffle if you need an idea.

Dimensions:

• Front floral layer (cut from pocket envelope) 3-7/8" x 5-1/4"
• Very Vanilla inside layer 4" x 5-1/4"

I made a couple different little milk cartons.

Dimensions:

• Fresh Fig 3" x 6" scored at 1" on the short side and 1-3/8", 2-3/4", 4-1/8" and 5-1/2" on the long side
• Pink layer 1-1/4" x 1-1/4"

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and,

upon returning to her car, found four males

in the act of leaving with her vehicle.

 

She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun,

proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs,

"I have a gun, and I know how to use it!

Get out of the car - NOW!"

 

The four men didn't wait for a second threat.

They got out and ran like mad.

The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded

to load her shopping bags into the back of the

car and got into the driver's seat.

 

She was so shaken that she could not get her key

into the ignition. She tried and tried, and then

she realized why.

 

It was for the same reason she had wondered

why there was a football, a Frisbee, and two

12-packs of beer in the front seat.

 

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked

four or five spaces farther down.

She loaded her bags into her own car and drove

to the police station to report her mistake.

 

The Sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't

stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the

counter, where four pale men were reporting a

carjacking by a mad, elderly woman described as

white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair,

and carrying a large handgun.

 

No charges were filed.

 

Moral of the story?

If you're going to have a senior moment...

make it memorable!

Always a fun card - the wiper card fits in a standard A2 envelope and has a pop up when you pull the two side out!

You can stamp a greeting on the pop up panelize the one shown above or your can use some punched images like the balloons below:

• Stamp flower image with Basic Black Ink on Whisper White Thick.
• Squeeze the lid of Pear Pizazz ink, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the leaves (use the stamp photo as your guide).
• Clean Aquapainter.
• Squeeze the lid of Melon Mambo, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the center flower.
• Squeeze the lid of Wisteria Wonder, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the top small flower and small flower buds on bottom left side of bouquet.
• Squeeze the lid of Daffodil Delight, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the center of the flowers.
• Squeeze the lid of Calypso Coral, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the button flowers.
• Squeeze the lid of Berry Burst, lift the ink from the lid with an Aquapainter and color the rest of the flowers.
• Adhere the Whisper White Thick to the Berry Burst CS with Snail.
• Add to Whisper White Thick Card Base with Dimensionals.
• Stamp “Sending Heartfelt Thoughts” underneath with Berry Burst Ink.
