Picking Pumpkins one last time...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I almost forgot to show you this card!!! AAAAAHhhhhhh! It's one of my favorites with the PICK A PUMPKIN BUNDLE - I had so much fun making this one! I also made another one that I shared earlier - there's a photo down at the bottom with both cards and a link to the details for the first one.

A watercolor wash is the perfect technique as a backdrop for all these amazing die cuts - you'll find a video tutorial for it HERE.

I love this PAINTED AUTUMN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (DSP) that I used in the background too! It's part of the BUY 3 GET 1 FREE promotion that ends today -  Oct 31st.

Here's a close up of the banner - I added a little sliver of GOLD GLIMMER PAPER - what do you think? Worth it....YES!!!!

A 1/2" strip of DSP really spruces up those insides too:

This bundle is the BOMB! I die cut a bunch of images using the color layout in my DSP and just started arranging them until I created something that I loved....very fun way to design a card.

How stinkin' cute is this??? It uses our MINI PIZZA BOXES and 3" x 3" ENVELOPES to make a great little gift set! Pizza Box DSP Layer Measurements: 

• Designer Paper (Early Espresso chevron pattern): 2” x 11”
• Designer Paper (sunflower pattern): 1 ½” x 11”
• Whisper White: scrap
• Crushed Curry ribbon: 17”
• Burlap Ribbon (strand): 6”

Instructions:

1. Adhere the sunflower pattern designer paper to the Early Espresso chevron pattern designer paper.  Wrap the designer paper around the Mini Pizza Box, creasing along the edges. Adhere the raw ends to the back. 
2. Stamp the “Just For You” greeting using Early Espresso ink on white scrap cardstock. Punch out using the Everyday Label Punch.  Stamp the larger flower image from the Painted Harvest stamp set using Crushed Curry ink on the outside edge of the tag.  Stamp the smaller flower image from the Painted Harvest s tamp set using Crushed Curry ink, directly over the first image.  Stamp the center of the flower using the corresponding image in Early Espresso ink, stamping off one layer of ink on scratch paper to reduce the shade. Stamp the dotted image using Early Espresso ink in the center of the flower. 
3. Tie the Crushed Curry Stitched Satin Ribbon around the width of the designer paper bellyband in a bow. Punch a 1/16” in the top of the punched label. Thread the Burlap Ribbon strand through the hole and secure it under the bow by tying it in a knot.

Feature Friday VIDEO - Nothing Flakey About This Card!

 

WOW! All of these cards were made with the SNOWFLAKE SENTIMENTS. There are so many different ideas running through my head with it - but here are a few that I've made. I have a video filled with tips for you today - you can watch it here:

Here's the card I made with the CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - I love stamping on DSP that has a more subtle pattern - I think it's a cool technique and one I often forget to use. Don't forget - we have the BUY 3 GET 1 FREE promotion until Oct 31 on most of our Designer Series Papers - click on the photo shown below the caramel recipe to see the details.

Here's the inside:

Dimensions:

• Whisper White Thick 7" x 5-1/2, scored at 2-3/4"

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop Pining for Plaid

Here's the alternate card I came up with. A little SILVER GLIMMER PAPER with a cute little box and I think I have a winner.

This box is so simple it literally took me less than 5 minutes to make with the ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD. It fits 3 Ghirardelli chocolates perfectly.

Pick A Pumpkin...SPICE LATTE!!!

I had a little time last week to play with two amazing stamp sets....MERRY CAFE meets  PICK A PUMPKIN! I have to tell you - WE HAD A BLAST! The Pick a Pumpkin is so fun - I stamped and die cut images and then I just die cut images from the PAINTED AUTUMN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER and started mixing and matching images until I decided to glue them down! Having a bunch of pieces at my fingertips really made the creative process come together fast. I made two cards (can't wait to show you the other one) - and here's the first one:

The splatter in the background is created when you use your markers to FLICK at the cardstock. I used Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie markers. You can find this technique in the video below at about 9:30. And I used my Aqua Painter and Crumb Cake ink to create the ground under my pumpkins and cup.

 

 

A little more Designer Series Paper for the inside and I added a die cut because...well I had a bunch of them all die cut and ready!

I love that we have two stamp sets to go with the COFFEE CUP FRAMELITS!!!

• Misc. – 5/8” Crinkled Ribbon Peekaboo Peach (144192), Seasonal Layers Thinlits (143751), Large Letters Framelits (141712), Foam Adhesive strips (141825), Snail Adhesive (104332), (Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263)

 

Measurements: 

• Cajun Craze Cardstock – 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scrap for leaf
• Painted Autumn DSP – 5-1/4” x 2-1/2”& 5-1/4” x 1-1/2”
• Ribbon – 14”

 

Instructions:

1. Arrange the Large Alphabet letters F-A-L-L on the 5-1/4” x 2-1/2” DSP and run it through the Big Shot to die cut them out. 
2. Adhere the DSP with the cut letters towards the top of the Cajun Craze cardstock.
3. Adhere the 5-1/4” x 1-1/2” DSP to the bottom of the cardstock.
4. Wrap the ribbon around the card and tie into a knot on the front of the card.
5. Add Foam Adhesive Strips to the back of each cut out letter F-A-L-L and set in place on the card front almost like putting a puzzle together.
6. Stamp the “in the air” stamp on the bottom piece of DSP in Cajun Craze.
7. Cut out a leaf using the leaf framelit in the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, using the scrap Cajun Craze cardstock, adhere to card with SNAIL.

Foil Frenzy Treat Box

Isn't this adorable??? A cute little box that you can put some of your homemade goodies in a cello bag and watch the smiles that this brings!

Stampin’ Up Supplies:

• Stamp Set – Label Me Pretty Bundle (145305 clear mount, 145304 wood)
• Paper – Berry Burst (144243), Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper (144125)
• Ink – Basic Black Archival (140931)
• Other – Simply Scored Board (122334), Bone Folder (102300), ⅝” Crinkled Seam Binding Berry Burst (144191), Fast Fuse (129026), Glue Dots (103683)

Cutting & Scoring: 

• Designer Paper – 4” x 12” (you can make 3 boxes from 1 sheet of 12” x 12”)
• Berry Burst – 1 ¾” x 4” and scrap for sentiment
• Ribbon –16”

Instructions:

• Place the Designer Paper, 4” side at the top, on the Simply Scored Board.  Score at 1”. Rotate it and score at 4”, 5 ¾”, 9 ¾”, and 11 ½”.
• Cut off the ½” x 1” rectangle on the end. Snip up to the score lines on the remaining scored lines in this 1” area.
• Crease all the scored lines with the bone folder.
• On the ½” strip, place Fast Fuse on the “foil” side and adhere to the opposite side to create the box.
• Lay the box flat, fold back the flaps to expose the crumb cake side of the Designer Paper.  Add Fast Fuse to the 1” x 4” pieces.
• Create the box by placing the small ends in first and add the long ends on top.
• With Fast Fuse, add the 1 ¾” x 4” Berry Burst to the inside.
• Tie the ribbon in a square knot on the right side of box. Place a glue dot under the knot to hold it in place.
• Stamp “From My Kitchen to Yours” on the scrap of Berry Burst.  Punch with the Pretty Label punch.  Add with a glue dot.
