Kids Cards - One Stamp At A Time Blog Hop

Each blog will show you a card and a 3-d item...that can be a gift bag or box or some type of home decor item or a treat holder...the skies the limit and you'll be sure to see lots of variety with this group of talented stampers!

I'm super excited to show you this adorable card for my little Andi! And I'm really excited because I won't be staying up until midnight the night before her birthday celebration making it! Her birthday is months away - YAY ME!

How cute is this? Andi will be 11 this December and she is going to LOVE this card and little Lip Smacker purse!

How did I do it?:

• I started out with a Dapper Denim card base of 11" x 4-1/4" and then I cut in 3/4" and down about 1-3/8" to make the faux overall straps.
• Then I stamped with VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder on the straps with the great little images that comes in the POCKETFUL OF SUNSHINE stamp set.
• When I had that done - I stamped with the curved "v" image and embossed that.
• I took my paper snips and cut along the curve of that line to make the V in between the straps. Cool right? 
• I stamped ANDI with the LABELER ALPHABET stamp set and cut the tag for the pocket.
• I added the little ruffle at the top with some Whisper White cardstock and the DECORATIVE RIBBON BORDER PUNCH.
• And all those little Flirty Flamingo flowers from from two dies in the CELEBRATION THINLITS DIES set - pop some rhinestones on each one for a little bling - Andi loves BLING!
• The pocket is stamped with VersaMark ink, white embossed and die cut and mounted on Dimensionals.

• The inside is stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and the STYLIZED BIRTHDAY single stamp. 

Dimensions:

• Dapper Denim 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 5-1/2" & scraps
• Whisper White 4" x 3-1/4" & scraps
• Flirty Flamingo scraps

Who doesn't love a tiny little purse???  

Here's a view of the inside.

 How did I make that?:

• I cut my PICK A PATTERN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER 5" x 3"
• Score at 2" and 3" as shown below.
• Then measure in 1/2" on each end and cut to the score lines as shown.
• I then mounted that on a piece of Dapper Denim cardstock that was just slightly bigger and trimmed it to match the dimensions.
• The Layering Ovals Framelits were perfect for the clasp on my tiny purse - folded over the top and secured with Mini Glue Dots.
• I cut a piece of 4-1/4" Whisper White 3/8" Classic Weave ribbon and adhered it to the inside with Mini Glue Dots too.
• Add a tiny piece of Velcro to the under side of the oval to fasten the clasp.
• I decided to wrap the lip smacker with DSP too - that's a little longer than 1-7/8" x 2".
• Add a Whisper White tiny flower to the oval and Rhinestone Jewel to finish it off.
