I'm super excited to show you what I made with the August GIFTABLE GREETINGS PAPER PUMPKIN KIT - OMGosh the possibilities are endless! I love the whimsical feeling of this stamp set and the matching cards and die-cut adhesives are the BOMB!

Here's my projects - I love the clean and crisp look of my card and the matching nugget holder is just stinkin' cute!!!

 

Here's the card I designed. The only thing I added that wasn't in my kit was the strip of Basic Black cardstock and the Whisper White layer with Calypso Coral ink and a rhinestone - and we all have a little of this stuff at home right?

 

And now for this adorable little nugget holder...OMGosh! Isn't it the sweetest...literally?

 

How could I NOT make a video to show you how to make this little jewel? This is the perfect gift that doesn't take a lot of time or money - to give to just about anyone! This would be pefect for a teacher's gift - you know when they do something special for your little munchkin...or your neighbor when they catch your dog that just ran out the front door...or your bank teller for always greeting you with a smile? Think how many smiles you can make happen when you offer a gift like this for a tiny bit of kindness? It's a pretty easy little box to make - let me show you how:

Puppies & Hugs

 Isn't this cute? This uses the Bike Ride stamp set I showed you the other day. Super cute! I love how the dog is stamped with ink...that's right. There are stamps for the outline of the dog and also the inside and his scarf - no coloring on this one!

And the LOVELY WORDS dies are a perfect sentiment for my card! I also like the banner of Berry Burst that's under my doggie...and that pop of 1/8" Silver Ribbon is the perfect accent don't you think?

Project Sheet Monday

Here's another beautiful card using the EASTERN PALACE stamp set and thinlit dies. This set can create so many very unique looks...it's one of the best bundles available!

 

Instructions:

• Stamp Medallion image twice in each color (Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, and Lemon Lime Twist) as shown on White Panel. Off set one another to create the “fuller” medallion.
• Stamp the solid, small medallion once in each color on scrap white cardstock. Die Cut.
• Pop up small medallion in center of each larger medallion with dimensionals. Add a rhinestone in the center of each.
• Stamp sentiment in lower center of panel.
• Adhere to Lemon Lime Twist panel and staple small length of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon in upper left-hand corner. Pop up onto Melon Mambo Card with dimensionals.

Cutting & Scoring: 

• Melon Mambo 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” Scored at 4 1/4”, 4 x 5 ¼”
• Whisper White 3 5/8 x 4 7/8” plus scrap for die cutting medallions
• Lemon Lime Twist 3 ¾ x 5”

Feature Friday - VIDEO Flat Pop Up

Oh my! I have a doosie for you today! I just love this new fun fold that was shared with me by my downline Doris Fryman...THANKS DORIS!!!

I'm calling is a FLAT POP UP card - and of course it looks complicated - but IT'S NOT!  Super easy and what a WOW! I love it...so much that I'm giddy! Check out my video here:

I chose the WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER for my front panel - oh soooo pretty right? And I love that pop of the 5/8" PEEKABOO PEACH CRINKLED SEAM BINDING - it's the perfect accent for this card. 

Here's the 2nd one I made using SOFT SUEDE and a different pattern of DSP from the same WHOLE LOT OF LOVELY paper pack. This one has the 3/8" POOL PARTY SHIMMER RIBBON for the bow. It's got sparklies in it and it's so much prettier in real life! 

Here's the back of the card - where you can write on it.

I added this photo to help you with the layout:

I love these - they are so fun and who doesn't love a pop up card???

My Wednesday tip video is all about Shaker Cards today - it's the first in a series about WINDOW SHEETS! I'm super excited about this series - there are so many different ways to use Window Sheets - I can't wait to show many of them to you!

Here's the first type of shaker I made - an image die cut and raised with the shaker bits in the number.

Isn't this adorable??? I just know Molli is going to love it! And it will be accompanied by a big present...so of course she'll love it. I love these colors together (Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron & Peekaboo Peach)...so soft...perfect for a girl!

 Here's the inside - almost as spectacular as the front!

Dimensions:

• Flirty Flamingo 5-1/2 x 8-1/2
• Whisper White 5-1/4 x 4 & 3-3/4 x 5
• Peekaboo Peach 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 

 

And here's the 2nd shaker - I cut an image out of the front of my card layer and added the shaker behind the entire layer. LOVE this color combo too - Elegant Eggplant, Lemon Lime Twist and Pacific Point. 

I used the WORK OF ART in the background of the shaker card for the chevron images - super colorful! The embossing folder is the SWEETHEART folder - didn't think of that right? The circle cuts out the heart image and you can use it for anything this way.

• Lemon Lime Twist 4 x 5-1/4
• Elegant Eggplant 3-3/4 x 5

The Goldberg Brothers - The Inventors of the Automobile Air Conditioner

Here's a little fact for automotive buffs, or just to dazzle your friends.
The four Goldberg brothers, Lowell, Norman, Hiram, and Maxwell, invented and developed the first automobile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946 , the temperature in Detroit was 97 F degrees. 

The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling him that four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter.

 

Henry was curious and invited them into his office. 

They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car. 

They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 F degrees inside, turned on the air conditioner, and cooled the car off almost immediately. 

The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3 million for the patent. 

The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted the recognition by having a label, 'The Goldberg Air-Conditioner,' on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed.

There was no way that Old man Ford was going to put the Goldberg's name on two million Fords. 

They haggled back and forth for about two hours and finally agreed on $4 million and that just their first names would be shown.

 

And so to this day, all Ford air conditioners show --

Lo, Norm, Hi, and Max -- on the controls.

Biking & Friends

How cute it this new stamp set called BIKE RIDE? I made this when I was in Wyoming visiting my friend Barb. We had a blast creating a bunch of cards with preorder items from the new catalog. I didn't have the matching BUILD A BIKE FRAMELITS when I made this one or I would have put the cute little basket die cut on it...but it's still adorable - don't you think? 

This card also uses the new TICKET TEAR PUNCH and the cute PICK A PATTERN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. You've seen a lot of this DSP in my cards - love all the patterns!

Project Sheet Monday

Here's another card using the Daisy Punch and the fabulous LOVELY WORDS bundle - LOVE these colors together!!! And the embossing paste is the perfect accent on the background don't you think? The PATTERN PARTY DECORATIVE MASKs makes the cool brick background - it's my FAV!

Cutting & Scoring: 

• Berry Burst - 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”; scraps
• Whisper White – 3 ½” x 5 ½”; 5 ½ x 4” (inside)
• Pear Pizazz – 3 ¾” X 5 ½”
• Daffodil Delight - scraps

 

Instructions:

• On Whisper White, spread embossing paste diagonally across using Palette Knife and Bricks Decorative Mask. After Embossing Paste has dried, adhere to Pear Pizazz piece.
• Punch two daisies in daffodil delight and adhere together with liquid glue
• Die cut “friend” and adhere to the daisy using liquid glue. Adhere daisy and “friend” to whisper white piece with dimensionals.
• Tie crinkled ribbon around bow card front layer. Include sequin trim when finishing bow.
• Adhere card front layers to Berry Burst card base.
• Stamp inside with bursts from Lovely Inside and Out in Daffodil Delight and Pear Pizazz. Stamp sentiment in bottom left corner in Berry Burst.

Feature Friday - Coffee Cafe Online Class

 

How cute is this??? It's a moving card - called a PEEKABOO SLIDER CARD and it features the COFFEE CAFE BUNDLE - I AM IN LOVE! This is the 9th card I've made with this bundle...it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling and it's just in time for the upcoming fall!

Q: I'm a demonstrator - can I use these cards for a class?

A: YES - I highly encourage it - while the PDF is to remain exclusive to you, you are welcome to make the cards and feature them for a class with your customers. I ask that you do not post photos of these exclusive cards online.

Q: Do I need the Coffee Cafe stamp set and matching framelits to make these cards?

A: YES - you will need this stamp set & framelits to complete the cards. Other things you will need include the ink pads, adhesives and an Early Espresso marker, and a paint brush or Aqua Painter. If ordering the card kit - all punched items and die cuts other than those included with the framelit set will be included.

Q: Will I get this online class immediately after payment?

A: The PDF Online Class file is sent via email - manually by me. While I will try to email it right away - I will guarantee that you receive it within 24 hours.
