Two hillbillies walk into a restaurant. While having a bite to eat, they talk about their moonshine operation.
Suddenly, a woman at a nearby table, who is eating a sandwich, begins to cough.
After a minute or so, it becomes apparent that she is in real distress. One of the hillbillies looks at her and says, Kin ya swallar?'
The woman shakes her head no. Then he asks, 'Kin ya breathe?'
The woman begins to turn blue, and shakes her head no.
The hillbilly walks over to the woman, lifts up her dress, yanks down her drawers, and quickly gives her right butt cheek a lick with his tongue.
The woman is so shocked that she has a violent spasm, and the obstruction flies out of her mouth.As she begins to breathe again, the Hillbilly walks slowly back to his table. His partner says, 'Ya know, I'd heerd of that there 'Hind Lick Maneuver' but I never seed nobody done it.

I have a fun card to share with you today - it's a SHADOW BOX card. I've seen these for awhile now online and finally decided to give it a try. OMGosh!!! They are so easy and this BALLOON ADVENTURES BUNDLE is perfect!!! I wanted to get this out to you right away because this bundle is RETIRING!!!! OH NO!

Marbling Technique Video

I hope you're having a GREAT holiday weekend! I know I am!!! I'm up north with my mom hanging out and later we're going flower shopping  at the Amish greenhouses - the prices are amazing!!!! I found this video and wanted to share it with you - funny that Stampin' Up! calls this technique MARBLING - it is marbling - but we've called it the SHAVING CREAM technique for a gazillion years - right?

 

 

I love the idea they shared about punching out images using the marbled layers - super cool right?

You're Sublime!!!

 

RETIREMENT comes to a close next Wednesday, May 31st - here's another stamp set that I think is just adorable!!! And it's retiring!

 

 

Isn't this a clever card - love the peek through window.

 

Supplies - you'll find a full list of supplies with photos down below - you can click on any of them to go right to my store to order if you need anything.

 

 

Measurements: 

Pacific Point Card Base 5-1/2” x 8 1/2”

Whisper White (insert) 4” x 5 ¼”

 

Instructions:

• Stamp the dotted background in Versamark ink on the front of the card.
• Use the Layering Circles to create a ‘ring’ using Silver Foil Sheets with Big Shot and Magnetic Platform.  Any scratched impressions from the used cutting mats is an added bonus as it adds texture and a weathered look to the metal rim you are creating.
• Use the handheld punch and make small holes around the foil sheet as shown.
• Adhere the silver ‘metal rim’ to the front of your card with adhesive.
• Cut a piece of Window Sheet approximately 3”x3” (will depend on the size porthole you create). Place one Glue Dot in the each of the four corners and attach to the inside cover of the card, as shown.
• Place (not adhere) the white insert on the inside of the card, aligning it where you will eventually adhere it.  Use a pencil to make light marks to indicate the opening of the porthole so you know where to stamp your image.
• Stamp the submarine image in black ink. Color in with markers.
• Punch three, ½” circles from Pacific Point cardstock. Cover with Wink of Stella. Allow to dry. Use a Dimensional to adhere each of the circles to the front of the submarine, as shown.
• Adhere the white cardstock insert inside the card.

They're Back! Those wonderful Church Bulletins!
Thank God for the church ladies with typewriters.
These sentences actually appeared in church     
bulletins or were announced at church services:

---

#	Bulletin
1.	The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals.
2.	Scouts are saving aluminium cans, bottles and other items to be recycled.  Proceeds will be used to cripple children.
3.	The sermon this morning: "Jesus Walks on the Water." The sermon tonight: "Searching for Jesus."
4.	Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.
5.	Don't let worry kill you off - let the Church help.
6.	Miss Charlene Mason sang 'I will not pass this way again,' giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.
7.	For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs.
8.	Next Thursday there will be try-outs for the choir. They need all the help they can get.
9.	Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church.  So ends a friendship that began in their school days.
10.	A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.
11.	At the evening service tonight, the sermon topic will be "What Is Hell?" Come early and listen to our choir practice.
12.	Eight new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition of several new members and to the deterioration of some older ones.
13.	Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.
14.	The church will host an evening of fine dining, super entertainment and gracious hostility.
15.	Pot-luck supper Sunday at 5:00 PM - prayer and medication to follow.
16.	The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.
17.	This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church. Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.
18.	The pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the Congregation would lend him their electric girdles for the pancake breakfast next Sunday.
19.	Low Self Esteem Support Group will meet Thursday at 7 PM. Please use the back door.
20.	The eighth-graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the Church basement Friday at 7 PM ... The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy.
21.	Weight Watchers will meet at 7 PM at the First Presbyterian Church.  Please use large double door at the side entrance.
	And this next one just about sums them all up.
22.	The Associate Minister unveiled the church's new campaign slogan last Sunday:                      "I Upped My Pledge - Up Yours."

Peachy Beautiful You

 

I shared a whole bunch of cards made with the amazing BEAUTIFUL YOU stamp set last week in my tip video (you can watch it HERE if you  missed it) so I thought I'd share all the details for this one - I made it!

 

 

Do you love the designer series paper shown on this one? It's a brand new selection in the 2017-2018 Idea Book & Catalog called Delightful Daisy - available June 1st.

 

 

Dimensions:

• Peekaboo Peach 8 ½” x 5 ½”, folded in half & scrap
• Very Vanilla 1" x 4 ¼” & scrap
• Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper 1 ½” x 5 ½”

Instructions:

• Stamp the little flower images from the Daisy Delight stamp set in Peekaboo Ink where shown on the card front.
• Stamp the lady image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Very Vanilla scrap.
• Stamp the swatch of color image in Peekaboo Peach ink inside the dress area.
• Stamp the greeting with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Peekaboo Peach scrap.
• Die cut both with the oval Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies in the Big Shot.
• Adhere designer series paper to card front where shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
• Punch both ends of the Very Vanilla strip with the Triple Banner Punch and glue to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
• Adhere both ovals where shown to card front with Dimensionals.

Project Sheet Monday

 

Today I have a GREAT little pack of notecards to share with you! These types of cards made a GREAT gift idea!!! If you download the project sheet below the instructions - you'll see how the cards can be wrapped in ribbon for gifts.

 

Supplies:

Stamp Set: Flourishing Phrases (w-141531, c-141534)

Inks: 2015-2017 In Color Classic Stampin’ Pads (142234)

Paper: 2015-2017 In Color 8 ½” x 11” Cardstock, Whisper White Thick Cardstock (140272)

Other: Pearl Basic Jewels (119247), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Flourish Thinlits Dies (141478), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine (143263), Precision Base Plate (139684), 5/8” Mini Striped Ribbon (Watermelon Wonder-141433), Whisper White Envelopes (107301)

 

Measurements:

In Color Cardstock:  3 ¾” x 5 ¼” (2 of each color)

Whisper White: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, 3 ½” x 5” (one for each of 5 cards)

 

Instructions:

1. Score and fold Whisper White Thick cardstock in half for 5 card bases. 
2. Using each In Color ink, stamp “just a note” in the bottom right corner on 5 of the smaller Whisper White pieces.
3. Attach the stamped pieces to the In Color cardstock. (you will have 5 pieces)
4. Using Big Shot, Precision Plate, and flourish thinlit die, cut one of each color. (using second piece of each In Color cardstock.
5. Using Multipurpose glue (sparingly), adhere flourish to top of stamped piece.
6. Adhere pieces from step #5 to each card base.
7. Attach small pearls to centers of 10 small circles on flourish die-cut piece.
8. Stack cards (Watermelon Wonder card on top) with envelopes and tie with piece of  Watermelon striped ribbon.
