Wait...WHAT? & NO JOKE TODAY
04/14/2017
It's been a few days and I'm off schedule. I don't have a joke to go with my Wait...WHAT? video. Not feeling so jokey. My life is kind of a mess right now...well not kinda...it really is. I'm posting this from the ICU at a local hospital. My husband went in for neck surgery on Tuesday (had 4 disks replaced) and things went insanely wrong later that day. An emergency surgery that night saved him - his neck swelled up and cut off his airway. He had a tracheotomy installed, was put on a ventilator and heavily sedated. Yesterday they removed the ventilator. Oh so we think - he's doing so much better right? NOT SO much - he's having trouble sleeping, he's uncomfortable and agitated, they inserted a feeding tube but can't feed him due to extreme nausea - he's thrown up several times...and can you imagine what that's like with a trach in your throat? As I type this - he is finally sleeping - they changed his meds.Things continue to be very dicey. As a lot of you have been aware of this situation - I want to thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and well wishes - they really are comforting. It gives me a warm snuggly feeling to know how many people are here to back me up in times like these. I feel very blessed...to say the least! Keep those prayers coming - we'll take all we can get! And now to our regularly scheduled program.....
I have TWO different techniques to show you today - making your own Camoflauge backgrounds!!!

Love, love, love this card and this technique, Kelly! Thank you for sharing how to make them! I cannot pick one over the other that I like best...both are excellent for a masculine card! Stamping therapy is so relaxing and has helped me in the past with situations! So sorry for what happened with your hubby's surgery! My hubby was in the hospital for most of January with a severe case of Diverticulitis/abscess and it was a very scary time so I totally understand your feelings right now. Sending heartfelt thoughts & prayers to you & your family and hope things get better for him soon! Hugs~

Prayers being said for you and your husband, Kelly. Hope you'll be able to post better news in a few days!
You are a real trooper to be able to continue with your stamping through all of this -- sometimes it does serve as a distraction and gets your mind off of the real world!

Heavenly Father I pray that You'd continue to work in Kelly's hubby's life. Protect his neck, help him to have less nausea. Give the Dr's and staff wisdom as they treat him. I pray that You'd give Kelly strength as she maneuvers through each day with all that comes her way. Give her wisdom and strength as she makes decisions. I pray that his neck heals well and that he'd be on his feet soon. Thank You for their lives, in Jesus' precious and Holy name, amen

Sending prayers for you and your husband! I hope he is doing better. I'm a new You Tube subscriber and really enjoy your videos. The stamped version seems faster, easier and less messy, but I like the look of the ink to paper one better. Thanks for sharing the techniques, even in the midst of your hard time. May the risen Jesus bring hope and healing to your family this Easter Day!

Kelly I love your elk card, both techniques are really cool. I will be coming to Neenah on the 25th.
Please know that I'm thinking of you and your Steve. You made me cry girl. You are so amazingly strong. Love to you both, I'm sending a prayer now to you both. Love you Kelly!

I like both cards equally well. Thanks for your awesome videos. Its OK to take a break from blogging for a few while you concentrate on your husband. I will pray for him for a full recovery and restored mobility in his neck, also peace for you. Sending you a great big Detroit hug! Terrie

Hope you're husband is out of the woods and on his way to recovery now. These techniques were both wonderful and timely for me as I need to make a masculine card and have just got the Playful Backgrounds so I'm going to try this out with my own colour combinations. Awesome! Thanks for sharing and hang in there.
