Control Freaks Blog Hop!!!

SPRING IS HERE!!! That's the theme for our blog hop this month. It certainly feels that way here in Wisconsin today with temperatures in the 50's!!!
You might be arriving from the fabulous Debbie Henderson's blog or you might be starting right here with my blog...either way...make sure you go to the bottom and look for the NEXT button and continue on the hop with us! There's 8 blogs with a SPRING IS HERE themed project for you.
I've been able to spend a little time playing with the OH SO SUCCULENT bundle and I have to say....it's AMAZING! I was a little hesitant at first because for some reason I thought it was going to be really putsy...like I was going to be coloring a lot...which I like to do...but I need to have a lot of time to play like that and didn't earlier in the month. But I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! Each stamp has an outline and a bold image to fill in the outline...which makes this stamp set so quick and easy to make beautiful succulents!
Here's my card and gift box...do you love it? I do! And so will my MOM!!! SHHhhhhh don't tell her. Her birthday is next month and I have a BIG box of handmade cards for her to go along with this box of candy and adorable card.
I made the plant holder from Crumb Cake cardstock, embossed in the SOFTLY FALLING EMBOSSING FOLDER and punched with a 1-1/2" CIRCLE PUNCH...I just cut the top and bottom off to make it look like a pot.
These little boxes are the bomb! They're very high quality and come with the window sleeve wrap that I put over the candy opening. The official name is WHITE GIFT BOXES (142000) and you get 8 in a pack for only $8. What a deal!!! The boxes are meant to close - but I cut the side tabs and the lid tab off and didn't fold the lid down so it would stay up for my succulent flower layer!
The card is easy peasy too! I used the SUCCULENT GARDEN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER for the box and front of my card...isn't it pretty?
And here's the inside. I'm a big supporter of beauty on the insides of my cards and I had to make this one extra special for my mom. The flowers are all stamped...while the tan color under my flowers is a little ink with an AQUA PAINTER. Again - quick and easy peasy!
