Control Freaks Blog Hop - Gratitude

 

It's time for our October blog hop!

The theme is GRATITUDE..and I wanted to combine that with Fall...so here's what I came up with.  I had this picture in my head to use the LARGE LETTER FRAMELITS to spell out the word FALL - because it's small enough to fit on a card front - right? And then after I stamped the TIMELESS TEXTURE stamp set elements all over the Very Vanilla layer - I die cut it...and look what I thought of! I could use the letters that pop out on another card!!! A 2 for 1!!!!

 

 

I used a COLLAGE stamping technique for this card - I just stamped several of the TIMELESS TEXTURES elements in various inks (you can see them listed down below) to make a collage background. The leaf is from the LEAFLETS FRAMELITS die set.

 

 

Here's the inside - I just decorated it up a little bit and added the THANK YOU so I would stay in line with our GRATITUDE theme.

 

 

Here's my "afterthought" card - LOL! I think it turned out pretty cute! I used an Aqua Painter and ink pads and markers to color in my scarecrow. 

 

 

And the inside - with just a touch of stamping from the TIMELESS TEXTURES stamp set:
