OSAT Blog Hop Birthdays Bash
09/08/2016
Welcome to the OSAT September Blog Hop! Our theme for the hop is Birthday Bash. I went right to the root of a birthday and made a card for a baby's VERY VERY first birthday...when they are born!
You may have just arrived here from the talented Andrea Tracy-Tucker's blog or maybe you're starting with my blog - whichever it may be - please make sure you click on the NEXT button at the bottom to continue on the journey to see all the BIRTHDAY BASH ideas from the rest of our talented bloggers!
Are these stinkin' cute or what??? I really wanted to use the COOKIE-CUTTER CHRISTMAS bundle (stamp set & matching punch)...but how was I going to do that for this blog hop...I needed to make a birthday card!!! That's when I came up with the baby birthday using this adorable baby bear!!! And of course - a cute gift card holder was the perfect accompaniment - right?
Do you LOVE the CABLE KNIT DYNAMIC TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS EMBOSSING FOLDER? This is a new type of embossing folder - it's very thick and makes an extra deep impression. You only use 1 cutting pad with this folder.
Here's the inside of my card - the B.Y.O.B. stamp set is perfect for so many things - I love the saying. The BALLOON CELEBRATION stamp set has all the cute balloons in it - fun!
My gift card holder is a KRAFT TAG A BAG GIFT BAG. I scored it 3" from the bottom and ran it through my Big Shot in the Cable embossing folder to give it that fun texture. The BLUSHING BRIDE BAKER'S TWINE wrapped around it - keeps the bag together to form the front pocket that holds my gift card.
A 4-1/2 x 3-1/2 layer of BLUSHING BRIDE and 4-1/4 x 3-1/4 WHISPER WHITE layer fit perfectly as an insert in the bag. I used a BOW PAPER CLIP EMBELLISHMENT to hold my gift card so it peeks up just a bit in the front pocket.
The designer paper is from the SERENE SCENERY PAPER STACK - I used it on my card front and the little banner on the front of the gift card holder.
DIMENSIONS:
- Crumb Cake 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 folded in half
- Whisper White 2 @ 4 x 5-1/4 & 3-1/4 x 4-1/4
- Blushing Bride 3-3/4 x 5 (card front); 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 (gift card insert)
- Serene Scenery Paper Stack 1-1/2 x 3-3/4 (card front) & 1/2 x 3-3/4 (banner)
- Whisper White scraps
