I have a brand new technique for you today - MAGIC WATER STAMPING!!! When you stamp - your image appears in the ink -  just like magic! Isn't this a striking color combination? Bermuda Bay, Dapper Denim and Copper!!!

A drunken man walks into a biker bar, sits down at the bar and orders a drink. Looking around, he sees 3 bikers sitting at a corner table. He gets up, staggers to the table, leans over, looks at the biggest, meanest one in the face and says, "I went by your grandma's house today and I saw her in the hallway buck naked. Man, she is a fine looking woman!"

The biker looks at him and doesn't say a word. His buddies are confused, because he is one bad biker, and would fight at the drop of a hat.

The drunk leans on the table again and says, "I did a little kissing with your grandma and she is good, the best kisses I ever had!"

The biker's buddies are starting to get really mad, but the biker still says nothing.

The drunk leans on the table one more time and says, "I'll tell you something else, boy, your grandma liked it!"

At this point the biker stands up, takes the drunk by the shoulders and says "Grandpa, you're drunk....... Go home!"

Spooky - OH MY!

 

One of my favorite Halloween swap cards - I love the spookiness of this card...it's so much cooler in real life - you're just gonna have to trust me on this one!

And it's a pretty easy card to make - once you have all the die-cutting done - all you need to do is add a little sponging and glue it all together! The SPOOKY FUN bundle is the BOMB!

 

Below is a close up of the detail stamped on the edges of the Smokey Slate card base and the Wisteria Wonder layer - she used the gravestones and the bat image to make her own designer series paper - genius right??? I think this just adds to the charm of the card and it really made me love it even more!

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: Cottage Greetings (138940 wood) (133962 clear)
• Inks: Perfect Plum (126963)
• Paper: Old Olive (100702), Perfect Plum (101889), Pumpkin Pie (105117), Whisper White (100730),
• Other: Halloween Night Washi Tape (142026), Halloween Night Enamel Dots (142025), Linen Thread (104199), Leaflets Framelits (138283), Seaside Texture Impressions Folder (141481), Big Shot (113439), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Glue Dots (103683), SNAIL (104332)

 

Measurements:

Perfect Plum card base: 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored and folded at 4-1/4” 

Pumpkin Pie layer: 5-1/8” x 3-7/8”

Old Olive layer: 3-3/4” x 3/4”

Whisper White recessed layer: 3-1/2” x 3-1/2”

Whisper White window layer: 3-3/4” x 5”

 

Instructions: 

1. Die-cut a maple leaf window about 3/4” from the top of the Whisper White layer with the Leaflets Framelits.
2. Emboss the Old Olive strip with the Seaside texture, adhere to the bottom of the window layer.
3. Stamp the sentiment in Perfect Plum ink above the Old Olive strip.
4. Apply strips of Halloween Night Washi Tape diagonally over the front of the 3-1/2” square Whisper White piece. 
5. Adhere washi tape layer onto the top of the Pumpkin Pie layer with SNAIL.
6. Adhere both background layers onto the Perfect Plum card base with SNAIL.
7. Attach the window layer over the top with Dimensionals, especially around the window.
8. Use two 6” pieces of Linen Thread together to tie a double bow. Attach with Glue Dot.
9. Add a few Halloween Night Enamel Dots around the leaf shape.
10. Option: Try this recessed shape technique with your favorite washi tape!

Isn't this a beauty? Another amazing card made with the PAISLEYS & POSIES bundle. I can't take credit for this card - my downline Sarah Simon is the artist! Sarah used the PETALS & PAISLEYS SPECIALITY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER with the matching bundle...and the 3/8" RIBBON TRIO PACK - it comes with Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron and Rich Razzleberry spools.

 

I am head over heals in love with the COPPER FOIL SHEETS - OH MY! They make everything pop and copper is super trendy right now. You'll see it in stores on home decor - one of my customers just told me that they bought a copper lamp recently - GET TRENDY...get some copper!

Sarah embossed her greeting with the COPPER EMBOSSING POWDER and I love the way the copper scalloped oval just peeks out from under the greeting layer.

 

 

Love the way she used the DSP on the inside too - insides should not be boring!

After Winter  vacation, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their time away from school.

One child wrote the following:
We always used to spend it with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house but Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Stay Young Bay in Florida where everyone lives in nice little houses, and so they don't have to mow the grass anymore!

They ride around on their bicycles and scooters and wear name tags because they don't know who they are anymore. They go to a building called a wreck center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now. They do exercises there, but they don't do them very well.

There is a swimming pool too, but they all jump up and down in it with hats on.

At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in their golf carts!

Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same thing every night - early birds.

My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too.

When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the doll house.

Then I will let people out, so they can visit their grandchildren.  PRICELESS!
