Control Freaks Blog Hop - Holiday Mini SNEAK PEEK
08/19/2016
Whoo Hoo - it's time for a blog hop! I'm so excited to be showing you some fabulous projects using the new Holiday Mini Catalog products!!! The new mini catalog goes live (meaning you can start ordering from it) on September 1st. I'd be happy to send you one if you don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - just pop me an email at [email protected].
If you are arriving from Wendy Weixler's blog I'm sure you're thrilled you're hopping with us - she does fabulous work! If you're starting here on my blog - make sure you click on the NEXT button at the bottom to continue on the hop!
I had a little spooky fun with my new Halloween supplies! I used a bundle with a stamp set called SPOOKY FUN and matching Edgelit dies called HALLOWEEN SCENES - when you bundle these two together you save 10% on your purchase. I chose to use the HALLOWEEN NIGHT SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER - you get 2 sheets of 5 double sided designs and 2 sheets that are single sided with silver foil embossing - OH MY!!!
As I was creating...I remembered that last fall when I was in St. George, Utah I found an adorable little box frame that says BOO...I went hunting for that because I knew that this designer series paper was perfect to put inside the box - isn't it cute???
My card base is Pumpkin Pie cut at 11 x 4-1/4 and scored at 5-1/2. I layered that with Elegant Eggplant 4 x 5-1/4 and Whisper White 3-3/4 x 5. The HALLOWEEN NIGHT DESIGNER SERIES WASHI TAPE, the HALLOWEEN NIGHT ENAMEL DOTS and the HALLOWEEN NIGHT BAKER'S TWINE contain all my favorite Halloween colors!
There's even a die for the witch on a broomstick - so I die cut her and popped her up on a dimensional. FUN right? The moon is Elegant Eggplant that I punched out and sponged with black ink. That makes it look a tiny bit spooky don't you think?
Both of these projects were super easy to make. A mini glue dot holds my baker's twine bow on the BOO shadow box and aren't those little pumpkins on the bottom adorable? Another easy embellishment - YEP - there's a die in the bundle for those cuties too! Make sure you keep your eyes open when you're out and about shopping so you can find some sweet little decor items that you can dress up with all these delightful Halloween embellishments - it really does turn your so-so decorations into something special!
I can't hardly wait to start decorating for the SPOOKY season - one of my favorites!
Thanks for hopping with me!

What a cute idea to show off the DSP in the BOO box! And I agree, sponging the purple moon with black makes it look almost sinister, Sure does make the die-cut with pop, doesn't it?
