Now onto my projects...
The theme for our hop today is SPRING HAS SPRUNG. Nothing says spring to me more than seeing fawns out in the meadows with their moms. It's a beautiful sight here in Wisconsin - where we've had bitter cold and blizzards for months. The sighting of a fawn makes me think of summer - MY FAVORITE season!
I made this card using the GOR-JEE-OUS In the Meadow stamp set - a beauty in the Occasions Mini Catalog and the greeting is from the Rose Wonder stamp set. The In the Meadow stamp set is GREAT for so many different types of cards. I made this masculine birthday card - cuz what guy doesn't like deer - right? I also have a GOR-JEE-OUS scenery card that I will be featuring in my FEATURE FRIDAY VIDEO SERIES coming soon - the card I will feature soon turned out so pretty and peaceful that I chose to use it for a sympathy card...can't wait to show you that one too!
I used a brayer to add the Marina Mist color for the sky and Mossy Meadow for the grass. I stamped my images in Memento Black and colored the deer with an Aqua Painter and a combination of Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. When that dried - I added the snow to the mountains and the white spots and accents on the deers tails and ears with my White Gel Pen. The Circles Framelits - size 2-3/4" was perfect to die cut my deer circle. You can see a complete product list below the links for all the blog hoppers.
