Welcome to the Control Freak's March blog hop featuring Spring-Easter designs! You might have started with my blog or you might be arriving here from Debbie Hendersen's blog - she always creates something magnificent! However you got here - I have some fun cards to share with you using the FREE HONEYCOMB HAPPINESS stamp set - this is one of the sets available during Sale-a-Bration....which, I'm sad to say, ends on March 31st...oh my!
I had so much fun making these cards. I wanted something colorful and something for Easter so I chose an unconventional pack of paper - BOHEMIAN DESIGNER SERIES PAPER. One of the things I love about Stampin' Up's designer series paper packs is the fact that while they may have a certain theme going, they are almost always neutral on one side...and in this pack that certainly proved true for my Easter cards. They don't look Bohemian do they?
I used a sponge to add Blackberry Bliss ink to the doily and tucked it under my banner - cool right? The string tied in my button is from the Burlap ribbon - I just cut the seam off the side and unraveled one strand.

Isn't the little peeking chick below cute on the inside too?
Here's another cutie-patootie card I made with the FREE Honeycomb Happiness stamp set. I combined it with the FRIENDS & FLOWERS set that creates the cute little bunnies I've had so much fun with! My little chick is stamped on Watercolor Paper, colored with the Aqua Painter and ink and I cut it out so I could tuck the bunny ears behind it. A little tip...I stamped the chick on my Very Vanilla layer so I wouldn't have to cut out the feet (hateful little things) and layered the cut-out chick over the top...genius right?
