OSAT BLOG HOP - Love is in the Air
02/11/2016
Whoo Hoo - I was recently invited to join a "NEW to me" BLOG HOP with some awesome stampers. Thanks for joining me for this No Rules Blog Hop from the great group at One Stamp At A Time. Don’t forget to scroll to the bottom for a complete supply list, and to click the cute NEXT button to visit Martie Pollard's creations.
Love is definitely in the air here! You'll notice that my WHOLE BLOG looks different today!!! I just gave it a face lift with a brand new look - what do you think? I like the clean crisp look of this new design. Huge thanks to Diane Noble for the wonderful graphics and Patsy Waggoner for setting everything up so it works and making the MAGIC happen!!!
Now onto my projects...
I had so much fun making both of these!!! The card is Blushing Bride and Tip Top Taupe - love me some brown and pink together! And the tiny little pot was soooo much fun to make!!!
This Bloomin' Love stamp set is one of my favorites!!! The heart says it all, complimented by the stamp set to create a beautiful card with not a lot to do except a couple stamps and a GORGEOUS die-cut heart - BOOM!
I am amazed that Stampin' Up! has products that I can run through the Big Shot that look like they're laser cut - RIGHT? You would pay to buy these hearts...and now you can make a GAZILLION of them!
A few details for my little pot below...I took some acrylic paint that matched the Taupe color and quickly painted it with a sponge brush - super easy. Then I used the Spiral Flower Originals die to die cut 4 flowers (Whisper White & Blushing Bride) and sponged the edges before I put the flowers together. A little floral foam in the pot and a crimper to crimp some Blushing Bride card stock created matching shred to cover that ugly floral foam. Cutting it into stripes with the Fringe Scissors made the shred super easy - those are amazing!!! You can make your own colored shred to match your projects!!!
I used some long toothpicks that I pushed through the bottom of the flower right into the Hersey kiss, then into the foam over top of my Blushing Bride shred. The banner in the Bloomin' Love stamp set was perfect for my card and this little banner in my cutie-patootie pot! I took the 1-1/4" Wide Burlap Ribbon and cut a long length, trimming off the zig-zag seam on one side so I could easily pull the individual strings off to wrap around the pot and make loops in between the flowers in the pot - cool huh?
You can see all the products used for both projects below.
