Wishing you a fun day and an evening filled with lots of GREAT costumes!!!  Here are a few that made me laugh...

I thought this one was X rated...but it's not...do you get it?

Do you see why I called this the OOO LALA Ornament Card - OMGosh!!!  it's so beautiful!!!

This is a swap card I received - made with the Embellished Ornaments stamp set and Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies - these can be bundled for a 15% savings too!

I LOVE the Red Foil Sheets used for the delicate ornament.  The Precision Cutting Plate (new in the Holiday Mini Catalog (page 14) makes die-cutting this DELICATE die so simple too).  You use the Precision Cutting Plate instead of one of your clear cutting plates - all the little pieces just fall out...instead of having to poke them out with your paper piercing tool - SOOOO SWEET!

The card base is Crumb Cake and the front layer is Very Vanilla. The little red dots are Dazzling Details - love that stuff!!!

Feature Friday - Chubby Snowman Box Video

OMG!!!!! Is this not the cutest little CHUBBY SNOWMAN EVER???  He's so easy to make too!!!  I found some similar Chubbies from several years ago and adapted them to current products to make these.  I used the SNOW PLACE stamp set and Gift Bag Punch Board - one of my favorite new toys!

Can you handle one more?

Here's one more GLITTER SPLATTER technique card!!!  I found this one online - one of our demos in the South Pacific made it and I just had to give it a try. She used So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink for the sky background.  Then she used Mossy Meadow on the bottom to make a faux mountain side.  Isn't it gorgeous?????

 

I used GOLD GLITTER on this card and a Mossy Meadow card base. The greeting is stamped with Black StazOn ink on Vellum card stock - so pretty!  Here is a link to a video that shows the basics of the sponging/masking and the GLITTER SPLATTER technique from a card I made last week:

All is Calm - More Splatter!

 

Ooooo lala - another Glitter Splatter technique card!!!  I love this technique!  If you come to my Technique Tuesday class on Nov 3rd at 6:30 in my Neenah location - you'll get to make this beauty!!!

I made this one using gold glitter - love love love!

 

The same as I used a large circle to mask the moon - I used  a torn piece of paper to mask the bottom to make it look like snow.

Project Sheet Monday

You may create this look with any framelit, punch or die and for any season or reason!

 

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets: Acorny Thank You (139718)
• Card Stock & Paper: Very Vanilla (101650), Watercolor Paper (122959) & Gold Glimmer Paper (133719)
• Ink: Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Pad (133645); Ink Refills: Hello Honey (133649), Blackberry Bliss (133648), Tip Top Taupe (138330), Tangelo Twist (133652) & Mossy Meadow (133651)
• Miscellaneous: Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (127821); Bitty Banner Framelits (129267), Leaflets Framelits (138283), Gold Stampin’ Glitter (133457), Gold 1/8” Ribbon (134583), Gold Sequin Trim (132983), Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), spray bottle with water

 

Measurements:

• Very Vanilla card base: 4-1/4” x 11, scored at 5-1/2” 
• Gold Glimmer layer: 3-3/4” x 5”
• Very Vanilla layer to be embossed: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
• Scraps of Very Vanilla and Gold Glimmer paper for sentiment
• Ribbons: each about 5-6”

 

Instructions (refer to additional photos below):

1. Using spray bottle, and in an area that you don’t mind getting wet (I recommend the kitchen and a silicone cutting board or any surface that is easily washable), spray both sides of a sheet of watercolor paper and lay flat on silicone mat.
2. Without letting the paper dry too much, drop a single drop of an ink refill in a few (4-5) random spots on the wet watercolor paper. If the ink pools into a single spot, lightly (and from a bit above) spritz again to allow it to flow outwards. Repeat for each color but take care to not overwater to have all the colors mixing into one. Just take one step at a time and let the magic happen. Allow to dry overnight. It should look similar to the image below when wet.
3. While paper is drying, stamp sentiment using Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla scrap. Cut out with Framelit. Adhere to a scrap of Gold Glimmer paper then fussy cut (by hand) a border to make a layer.
4. Using small Very Vanilla piece, run through Big Shot with Woodgrain embossing folder.
5. Adhere the embossed piece to the Gold Glimmer layer.
6. Using Dimensionals, adhere that layer piece to the front of the card.
7. When watercolor paper dry, die cut leaves wherever you feel the colors look best (see image below).
8. Using the narrow tip of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue dot or streak the very edges of a leaf then shake on gold glitter. Gently shake off excess and allow to dry. Repeat with all leaves (you only need 3 for this card but you may want to just prep the extras while you’re all glittery).
9. Choose your favorite 3 leaves and fan them out with their stems overlapping. Tie ribbons around to hold together. Trim excess.
10. Put 1 dimensional onto the back of each leaf, fan out and adhere to front of card.
11. Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere sentiment to stem of leaves just above ribbon.

Our OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS STAMP CAMP filled up so fast for Saturday - I'm wondering if we should add this event on Friday night too???

Too Early for Snowflakes?

I don't think it's too early for snowflakes...it snowed like crazy in Colorado today - glad I don't live there!  Here's a pretty card I made for my October classes....using the Flurry of Wishes bundle - it comes with a matching punch!!!
