Project Sheet Monday & Card Buffet

Here's a cute card - Etch-a-Sketch brings back a lot of memories for me - I used to play with one for hours and hours!  Thanks Heather Westley for showing me this layout - super cute!!

This will be one of the cards you can make this month at all of my events!!!

  • Paper: Real Red #102482 $6.95; Whisper White #100730 $8.50, Vellum Cardstock #101856 $6.50, Sahara Sand #121043 $6.95
  • Other: Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits #135707 $24.95, Starburst Framelits #132967 $26.95, Clear Embossing Powder #109130 $4.95, Black Embossing Powder #109133 $4.95, Dimenionals #104430 $3.95, Heat Tool #129053 $29.95

Measurements:

  • Real Red - card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2, front layer 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Vellum Cardstock - 4 x 5-1/4
  • Sahara Sand - 4 x 5-1/4
  • Scraps of white 

Instructions: 

  1. Stamp the herd on Vellum Cardstock with Memento ink
  2. Emboss with clear embossing powder and heat tool
  3. Adhere the Sahara Sand layer behind the vellum by applying adhesive around the outside edges of the Sahara Sand layer
  4. Die cut the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Real Red layer with the Project Life small rectangle
  5. Add greeting to card front with VersaMark ink/White Embossing powder and heat set
  6. Adhere front layer to vellum layer and then card front
  7. Die cut white “knobs”  and adhere to card front with Dimensionals

 Here's  a super fun card with one of my FAVORITE stamp sets from the Occasions Mini Catalog - BIG ON YOU!!!  I love this set!  It seems that no matter what you use it with - you just have to do a little something and then STAMP one of the sayings and you have a FABULOUS card.  Super easy card making!

On the card above - I embossed the greeting on Vellum Cardstock - layered that over the FREE Sale-a-Bration (shown below) Best Year Ever Designer Series paper with Mini Glue Dots. All that's left is to punch a big flower, sponge the edges a little bit, add a button with some Baker's Twine tied in a bow and WAAA LAAA!

Project Sheet Monday

Nature’s Perfection Butterflies

Supplies:

  • Stamp Sets: Nature’s Perfection 139100, Painted Petals 138822
  • Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento pad 132708, Pool Party re-inker 122933, Bermuda Bay re-inker 131156, Island Indigo re-inker 126986, VersaMark 102283
  • Paper: Whisper White cardstock 100730, Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack 138639, Shimmery White 101910
  • Accessories: White Embossing powder 109312, Elegant Butterfly punch 127526, Aqua Painter 103954, Beach House Washi tape 133689, Stacked With Love Washi tape 137789

 

Measurements:

Whisper White card stock 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, Shimmery White scraps to stamp butterflies, Sheer Perfection Vellum 1-3/4” x 5-1/2”.

Instructions: 

  1. Stamp 4 butterflies with VersaMark ink on Shimmery White card stock and heat emboss using white embossing powder.
  2. Using an Aqua Painter wet one section of the butterfly wing with water.   Using the Aqua Painter pick up some Pool Party ink and touch it to the wing of the butterfly.  You may need to help the ink travel with the Aqua Painter. Complete all sections of the butterfly.  Paint the 2nd butterfly using Bermuda Bay ink and the 3rd and 4th butterflies using Island Indigo ink.  
  3. Attach the vellum to the card base.  Attach the wash tape as shown.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in black ink.
  5. Attach the butterflies from lightest to darkest on the washi tape.
