Another 3-Tiered Slider Card - ADORBS!!!

Here's the gorgeous card I featured at the start of my video yesterday!!! You can see that video here and learn how to make a Three-Tiered Slider card:

I used the Build A Birthday & Amazing Birthday stamp sets and the Sweet Li'l Things Designer Series Paper to stamp up this card. The gift bag is one I had left over from last year - we have these little Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags on page 151 of the big catalog and you can decorate them any way you want! The little gift bag uses the Amazing Birthday stamp set along with the Hello You Thinlits and the Banners Framelits.

Don't forget to stamp up a matching envelope!

Here are all the dimensions, cutting and scoring instructions for this card:

Dimensions:

• Top Tier - 9-3/8” x 3” scored at 3-1/8” & 6-3/8”
• Middle Tier - 10-1/4” x 3-3/8” scored at 3-3/8” & 6-7/8”
• Bottom Tier - 11-5/8” x 4-1/2” scored at 3-7/8” & 7-3/4”
• Hello Honey Tag - 3” x 2”, punch with Scalloped Tag Topper Punch
• Channel Strips - 1/2” x 2-3/4”
• Front Layer Top Tier - Pool Party 3” x 2-3/4”, Whisper White 2-7/8” x 2-5/8”
• Front Layer Middle Tier - Pool Party 3-1/4” x 3-1/8”, Whisper White 3-1/8” x 3”
• Front Layer Bottom Tier - Pool Party 3-5/8” x 4-1/4”, Whisper White 3-1/2” x 4-1/8”

Channels:

• Middle Tier - On the wrong side of the left panel starting 3/8” from the top and 1” in from the left side, cut a line that ends at 2-1/2” (it’s about 2” long). Move your cutter over to 2-1/2” from the left side and cut another line that is the same length.
• Bottom Tier - On the wrong side of the left panel  starting 5/8” from the top and 1-1/8” in from the left side, cut a line that ends at 3-1/4” (it’s about 2-1/2” long). Move your cutter over to 2-7/8” from the left side and cut another line that is the same length.

I'm soooo FLOWERY this week!

 I love flowers.  They bring me joy.  They make me be nuturing...because I have to water all my flowers out by the pool every morning and on really hot sunny days - I have to water them at night too.  I just love the pop of color they add to my day.  This Dahlia is one of my favorite new background stamps.  It's shown in the big catalog on page 129.  I think the butterfly punches are a great accent for a super easy CLEAN AND CRISP looking card - don't you?

This card is made with the new In Color - Delightful Dijon.  It's a very popular color right now - trendy in home decor and clothing...if you didn't like it when it first started appearing everywhere (like me) - it starts to grow on you (just like it did for me) and I need to go shopping because I want a shirt to match - LOL!

Another Faux Tile Card!!!

OOOO lalal!  Here's another GOR-JEEEE-OUS card using the Faux Tile technique that I featured yesterday on my FRIDAY FEATURE post!!!  Make sure you check out the video and learn how fun and easy this technique is.

This beauty features the Awesomely Artistic stamp set in a collage setting - one of my FAV's from the big catalog.  I also used the new GOLD METALLIC THREAD - you can see it wound up under the FRIEND greeting.  

Dimensions:

Mint Macaron - card base 8-1/2 x 5-1/2

Early Espresso - 3-1/4 x 5

Very Vanilla - 3-3/8 x 4-7/8 and scraps

Directions:

• Watch the video link below to make your Faux Tile layer
• Sponge the outside edges of the Faux Tile layer with Crumb Cake ink
• Stamp the images in Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron ink
• Stamp two dragon flies on scraps of Very Vanilla card stock and cut out the wings
• Add a dot of liquid glue in the center of your wings where they attach to the body of the dragon fly - apply to card front
• Add pearls to dragonflies
• Stamp and die cut the FRIEND greeting with Early Espresso and Mint Macaron ink - sponge edges of die cut layer with Crumb Cake ink
• Add a strip of SNAIL adhesive to the center back of the greeting die cut - wind some Gold Metallic Thread around three fingers - slide off and push down on the Snail
• Add a Dimensional to each end of the die cut and adhere to your card front
• Stamp the inside as shown below and sponge the edges with Crumb Cake ink - WAAA LAAA!

Feature Friday - Faux Tile Video

Whoo Hoo - it's FEATURE FRIDAY Video Day!!!

I'm so excited to share with you - here's a super easy and cool technique called Faux Tile.  All my stampers this month were really surprised at how easy this was!!!  They were shocked to see the card come together - because it's so easy!!!  Did I say EASY?

This card is a little different than the one in the video - I added pearls at the intersections of the diamond patterns.  I also used the metal rimmed pearls shown on page 161. Crumb Cake ink was used to sponge the edges of the tile and Blackberry Bliss for my flower and greeting image.

Geraniums For August

Here's another gorgeous card I received in a swap.  I just love this flower...I think it looks like a Geranium...so that's what I'm going with!  The stamp set is called BEST THOUGHTS and it comes with 4 images....for only $14 in wood or $10 in clear mount.  It is also an EXCLUSIVE HOSTESS stamp set - which means you can get it for these fabulous prices when you host a party or place a minimum $150 order.

Do you notice the subtle background stamp that she used?  It's called WATERCOLOR WASH - I LOVE IT!!!  She stamped it with Sahara Sand ink. 

This stamp set also uses the incredibly GOR-JEEEE-OUS TIMELESS ELEGANCE Designer Series Paper shown on page 143.  The black lace image on this card is actually the designer paper - so pretty! I have this paper and can't wait to show you all the cool things you can do with it!!!!

Tri-Fold LOVE!

Isn't this beautiful???  My good friend BJ Peters gave this to me at convention last month - it was one of my VERY favorite swap cards!  I just love how she made the little tri-fold on the front.  She used the Nuetrals Color Collection paper (on the bottom of page 144) and an exclusive hostess set called FLORAL WINGS on page 180.  You can get this stamp set for only $10 when you host a party or place an order of $150 or more as your hostess rewards.  It also coordinates with the BOLD BUTTERFLY FRAMELITS on page 172.

More Pretty Petals...

Here's a fun and easy swap card I received at the Salt Lake City convention that uses the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack...JUST LOVE THESE STACKS!!!

The squares are 1-1/4" with two corners on each rounded off.  Super easy and pretty!  What do you think about the Metal Rimmed Pearls???  Love them - very classy!
