Want to teach your children to recycle while doing a fun craft activity? Just save up your toilet paper rolls, then show them how to make paper dolls. It’s simple! Just cover a cardboard toilet paper roll with cardstock or Designer Series Paper; for the face, punch a circle from cardstock using the 2-1/2” Circle Punch. (I shaped the faces using Paper Snips.) Cut the hair from cardstock and use a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker for the eyes. Done! Add as much detail as you want. Let the kids come up with different outfits, hats, etc. (You might even end up wanting to make a few for yourself!)
If you prefer, attach the faces to popsicle sticks so the kids can use them as puppets.
These would be great for a school party. You could even put a small gift or candy inside for a teacher gift. Or to use for a summer project when it gets too hot to play outside!

We are going to show you how to make one of the projects featured in our 2013-2014 annual catalog. You will find this cute bag on page 88, and with the use of our trusty Simply Scored scoring tool you can make a bag just like this with little effort. If you plan on stamping on your bag, you'll want to do that before you put the bag together.
Start with a 6 ½ inch by 11 ½ inch piece of card stock. Score it at ½ inch, 4 ½ inches, 6 inches, and then at 10 inches.
Then turn the paper and score at 1 inch and 5 inches.
The next step is to cut off the two small tabs on one side -- and then to cut small Vs along all the score lines around the edges of your paper. (The height of the bag can easily be adjusted to suit your packaging needs.)
Finally, add some Sticky Strip which will secure your bag together.
The extra flaps on the top will help secure your handles.
This bag has been embellished with the Mixed Bunch stamp set and the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set -- and a highlight is the flower piece created with the Blossom Punch and topped with a Vintage Faceted Button.
We have recently learned that the Label Pop 'n Cuts Die (item 130160), introduced in the 2013-2014 annual catalog on p. 188, was incorrectly produced- the die cuts instead of scores across the score line. Our supplier is working to repair the defect and replace our inventory. Until we receive new dies, the item number will be turned off.
When we receive new Label Pop 'n Cuts Dies, we will automatically ship them to those who have ordered them. If you have already ordered a die, you don't need to send it back to us. We hope to have new product soon and will let you know, via current update, when the dies can be ordered.

The instructions are below - I just love the marker colors used on this one - Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler and Indigo Island....fun fun fun! My card base is Pear Pizzazz with a layer of Island Indigo and then Watercolor Paper...this is very important. When you spritz your paper - it helps it bleed just like you've painted a watercolor masterpiece!
