Technique Tuesday on MONDAY!!!

102_4397

We will enjoy our monthly Technique Tuesday class on Monday this coming week.  The spring soccer schedule is upon us and most games on are Tuesday's and Thursdays...so things will be a little jumbled for the next couple months.

Technique Tuesday is scheduled for Monday, April 9th at 5:30 or 6:30 at Trinity Lutheran School.  This class includes 3 projects with a technique instruction card.  The class is $5 with a $15 order or FREE with a $40 order.  Just call or email to register.

In my search for a punch card for this month - I ran across a card that used a heart punch as a flower...so I started looking at my punches and thought - Hmmmmm I wonder if I could use the butterfly punch to make a flower.  And by golly - I could!!!  So here's one of the cards for Monday - the punch art card using the butterfly punch to make the FLOWER!!!  And let's not forget that Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper - it's sooooo bright and cheerful!

You'll need 5 butterflies and a 1-3/8" circle or UPDATE: the Circles #2 Die.  I found that regular adhesive did not work to keep the butterfly petals on my circle after this was posted...all the petals fell off!

Fold each butterfly so that the fold is just to the side of the middle...

UPDATE:  Cover your circle with Sticky Strip or die cut the smallest circle from the Circles #2 die and use the Sticky Sheets (shown below) and start placing your folded butterflies like this.

Notice - when you get to the last butterfly - you want to pick up the edge of the first butterfly and tuck this one underneath - so don't push that 1st petal down too much.  WAA LAAA!!!!

I used half a butterfly to make the leaves too.

Hope you can come on Monday!!!
