TIPS:

• Here's a little tip - I shaded my elephant, the mouse and the ground under them with an Aqua Painter - I stamped them in Basic Gray and just used the water in the Aqua Painter to shade in the shade areas on the elephant - I didn't even have to add any ink!
• I used a Sharpie Marker and colored the Rhinestones to match the Bermuda Bay - cool right??? You have to use a permanent marker to do this - other markers will not dry.
• The little ink dots are from a stamp in the Painter's Palette stamp set

Fall Scrap Page & Matching Card

I've been super busy working on the scrapbook pages for the next CARD:SCRAP BUFFET on November 10th! And then I came up with the cool idea to make a card that matches my page!  I found a similar page on Stampin' Connection - our demonstrator creative website.  

I love fall colors and distressing goes sooo good with fall.  Don't you just love the button???

I decided to fill my pages with photos that my dad would absolutely love...he loved fall and bear hunting and Northern Wisconsin.  These photos were taken in one of his favorite places with his favorite wife...little chuckle there for my wonderful mom!!!  The first photo shows my dad standing in the beauty of fall listening for the hounds chasing a bear...music to our ears!

Faux Patina Tutorial

Here's one of the cards we made at the Technique Tuesday class in September.

.

This is an easy technique with several steps - for a GORGEOUS result!

1.  First you want to apply Crumb Cake ink directly to the flat side of the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder - just rub your ink pad onto the folder.  Run your white layer of card stock through the Big Shot so it looks like this:

2.  Now sponge Marina Mist ink on the raised areas of your layer:

3.  Then sponge Always Artichoke ink over the same area:

4.  And we end with the sponging of Early Espresso ink:

5.  Dab your Embossing Buddy over the layer - don't rub.  Or you can let it sit for a while to dry.  If you try the next step too soon - the embossing powder will stick to the entire layer.

6.  Now touch your raised images with the VersaMark ink pad...careful not too get too much ink on this step.  You can always add more.  Then emboss with gold embossing powder.

The first card I made with this techique had a little too much VersaMark ink - so almost all the raised images were covered in gold embossing.  On my 2nd attempt at it - I used less ink and it turned out really good!

Fun Pop Up Card

Here's one of the cards that my TECHNIQUE TUESDAY group made this month.  We do three projects - a technique card, a fun fold card and a punch card - or some other really cool layout.  I have openings in this group - if anyone would like to join - you'll be able to make fabulous projects like this one too - with me there to HELP you!!!

My TECHNIQUE TUESDAY group enjoys:

• making the "technique" for the month twice - once on an instruction card and again on your completed card
• you'll be able to compile a book of techniques - complete with typed instructions and the actual technique on each card so you can refer back to these with ease
• a fun fold card - I just love cards that open in a unique way
• a punch card
• typed instructions via email, complete with dimensions and all the ingredients used to make the projects including photos and/or video instructions
• you'll meet and make friends with other stampers that are as crazy about stamping as you are!

This class is for my stampers that "want a little more."   The class is $5 with a $15 order or FREE with a $40 order. You are welcome to come as my guest each month or JOIN THE GROUP!  When you join the group - you'll enjoy being the hostess for one of the 10 month sessions - which means you'll get all the hostess benefits!!!  When you join - you commit to stamping once a month for 10 months - if you can't make it due to a schedule conflict - I make the projects for you and you'll receive them with your order when it arrives. Here's a fun card! Everyone loves the surprise on the inside!!! It's really not as hard as it looks.  I've got the template for it below.

These stamp sets are so cute - Make a Cake and Itty Bitty Banners - combined with the Bitty Banner Framelits are sooooo easy to use.  Just stamp and then die cut your little banners.

The "happy birthday" inside is from Bring on the Cake stamp set.

Fold your cardstock in half (it's 5-1/4 x 8-1/4) and then measure and cut as shown.

Fold your cuts back and forth

Attach layers of DSP to each box by folding them in half and adhereing with SNAIL or liquid glue - the small box DSP is 3/4 x 1-3/4; the medium box is 1-1/2 x 3; and the large box is 1-3/4 x 4

Stamps:  Make a Cake; Itty Bitty Banners;Bring on the Cake   Paper:  Island Indigo Base; Summer Smooches DSP 2-1/2 x 5-1/4; 3/4 x 1-3/4; 1-1/2 x 3; 1-3/4 x 4; Tangerine Tango 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 & 5-1/4; Whisper White 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 & 5-1/4 x 8-1/4  Inks: Island Indigo; Tangerine Tango   Accessories:  Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch; 1/8” Real Red Ribbon; Mini Glue Dots

This picture just doesn't do the card justice...I have to apologize for that. I'm on Hailey's laptop right now - a little learning curve to say the least!   I'm horrified to tell you that my MAC is in a coma right now...just happened last night.  It's dead - not sure why???  I'm headed over to the computer store to get a diagnosis...I'm also very stressed over it.  All my photos are on there (as well as my photo software - that's why this picture isn't so great) and we have picture boards and a slideshow to make for the graduation party on June 30th - OMG!!!  WHY NOW???  If they have to send it out for service - I'm gonna FLIP A LID.

Anyhoo...I can't use my screen capture to show you photos of the stamp sets right now - it's part of my APPLE software.  So you'll have to look them up online or in the catalog...sorry!
