Elegant Double Embossing - SNEAK PEEK!!!

Sorry - I've been missing again - WHEW!  Lots going on here!  More on that later....

This photo doesn't do my card's soooo much prettier in real life!  We'll be making this card tomorrow at my Oshkosh classes (call or email if you'd like to come - WINK WINK ; - )

I used the NEW Strength & Hope stamp set - available May 1st in the Summer Mini Catalog.

As part of the Making a Difference program, Stampin' Up! is proud to partner with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the Strength & Hope Campaign.

Throughout the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog sales period, Stampin' Up! will donate $2* from the sale of each Strength & Hope set and Strength & Hope digital kit to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

This card uses an elegant DOUBLE EMBOSSING technique - here's a sample before I sponged on the Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy & Soft Suede ink.  I stamped my images one at a time with VersaMark Ink on Glossy White cardstock.  Then dust little portions of the image with gold embossing powder...tap that off.  Now pour on your second color of embossing powder (I used silver).  The silver will only stick to where the gold "isn't" and then heat set.  Sponge on your ink colors....WAAA LAAA!!!!

Here's the entire stamp set:

In other sister had her baby on Saturday.  It was a crazy ordeal!!!  She got to the hospital in an ambulance with only 1 minute before Jasmin made her entrance - delivered by an EMT!!!  Here's my newest neice - it's amazing how alert a newborn is when they aren't all drugged up:

Beautiful card and great technique! I have to say very beautiful niece!!! There are a lot of ways people spell the name "Jasmin" but this is the first time I've seen it spelled the same way my sister spells her name. Great name!

Laura Harvey

Love the card, even before the colors are added! I like the idea of mixing metal tones. Jasmin is a cutie!

What a great technique! I am eager to try it out! TFS. Love the pic of your new little niece. My daughter had a baby last week ... our first grand daughter. She however was a little more stubborn and took 18 hours to appear! But ... she is such a beautiful (and alert) little bundle! Hugs xxaxx

Lovely card, but the baby steals the show! Congrats to your sister and her family!
