Colored Beveled Windowpane Tutorial

Here's one of my demonstration techniques from Leadership....I call it "colored" Beveled Windowpane and you're gonna love it!

1) First you take some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and add a few dots of Classic (dye based) reinker - I used Not Quite Navy here.

2) Tap that around on the BACK of your windowpane and heat set it.

3) You can stamp directly on the back of your windowpane with StazOn ink or add some designer paper - like I did here.  These butterfly images are from the Botanical Gazette DSP pack.

4) Add your ribbon - I used Crumb Cake Seam Binding - I can't tell you how much I LOVE the seam binding and we have a bunch of new colors in the Occasions Mini Catalog!

TIP:  I applied Crystal Effects to the ribbon on the back of the windowpanes so that when you layer it on the butterfly paper or on anything - the glue will be hidden behind the ribbon.

Here's the finished card!  I layered the windowpane on the 2-Tags Die - after I cut off the bottom, on the score line.

Congrats on being chosen to do a demo - and on these frames that are at the top of my next order! Thank you for the great tip - amazing how the color adds to the picture! TFS....and looking forward to more of your sharing...

I wished I would have been able to actually see your great demo. The crowd was too big to get close enough to see anything. So it must have been awesome. But I am sad I missed out. I am soooo hoping you'll post all you've demoed so I can see it too. Thanks for sharing - Loved this sample already, makes me want to pull out my Window Panes!

Thanks for the super idea!

I just tried to make one of your windowpanes with the alcohol and classic re-inker. I heat set it, but it still doesn't want to dry. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Cindee
