Grid Technique Card

 

I was busy today preparing for my Technique Class on Wednesday...and this is one of the techniques we'll be learning.  The photo really doesn't do it justice!  I sprayed the card with Gold Shimmer Paint and the sparkle is sooooooooo pretty!

 

Here's how I did it...take a piece of cardstock (mine is 3 x 4) and place it in your paper cutter, angled like shown below, up to the 1/2" mark and score.

 
I drew lines on the one shown below so you can see them - just keep moving your cardstock over a 1/2" at a time and scoring your lines.  Make sure you keep your score lines lined up with the lines on your paper cutter - shown by the arrows below.

 
Turn your cardstock the opposite way and keep scoring - like shown below - again, keeping the score lines lined up with the lines on paper cutter - shown by the arrows.

 
Here's the layer - ready for stamping! I sponged in with ink to help show the grid lines.

 
 
And WAAA LAAA!  Stamp your images, sponge the edges, put your card together and mist it with Gold Shimmer Mist!!!

 

Shimmer Paint Mist: Use a hand sanitizer fine mist bottle (or any fine mist bottle) filled with rubbing alcohol.  The hand sanitizer is .25 fl oz.  Add 6-7 drops of shimmer paint.  Shake and mist your card from about 15”.

Ingredients - Stamps: Just Believe, En Francais Background Stamp  Ink: Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede, Old Olive  Accessories: Sponge, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Fiscars Paper Cutter with Scoring Blade, Blocks C, I, H, G, Shimmer Paint Mist, Dimensionals   Cardstock: Soft Suede Base, Rich Razzleberry     3 1/4 x 4 1/4, Whisper White 3 x 4 1/8; Scraps:  Whisper White

Fall Splendor!

Fun Snowflake Card

 

Here's a classic colored Christmas card - I love the bright colors and the 3-D effect of the ornament!  And of course, this just folds down when you put it in your envelope.  This is one of the projects from the Holiday Extravaganza on Saturday.

To make the ornament - just stamp it twice, fold it in half and adhere it together on one half.  Add snail to the other half to adhere it to your card front - a fun element for any card!  Add those rhinestone jewels for a little BLING - you know how I LOVE bling!

Stamp Camp Fun!!!

 
Can we say FUN???  We had a BLAST today at the Holiday Extravaganza stamp camp in Menasha!!!  I couldn't put on these big events without a lot of help...HUGE thanks to Rachael, Donna & Cathy!!!  You guys are the BEST!

 
We had fun, food, stamping and door prizes!!!  Caitlyn chose a cocoa kit so she could make some more when she got home...Donna was one of the big winners in the drawing for everyone that brought a snack to share...she won an exclusive Level 1 Hostess stamp set, buttons and vintage tags!  Katie was sporting her NEW hair clip - she made it today - herself!

 
Here are all the projects that everyone enjoyed making!  Some are originals and some are ideas I received in swaps - sharing is priceless in our little world of stamping!  I'll be posting more detailed photos of the projects in the next few days.

We ate tons of snacks, went through tons of cardstock and embellishments and had tons of laughs - thanks to all that attended!  If you missed this one - I hope you can make the next one!

Adorable Cocoa Kit

 

How fun is this???  If you're comimg to the Holiday Extravaganza stamping event on Saturday - this cutie will be yours!!!  The Fancy Favor Box can be used for so many different things...here I've cut 3/4" off the top (because I needed my box to be a little shorter) and made a cocoa kit!  Just happened to have ordered 100 of those little test tubes from a fellow demo...and I think they are adorable here.  I love to make up little kits like this to slide gift cards into - it's so much more fun than just a gift card holder!!!

 

I think the Glass Glitter really added some pizzaz to my snowman.  I applied Tombo Liquid Glue (#110755 $3.95) to the edge of the 1 3/4" snowman circle and then spinkled it with Silver Glass Glitter - ooo la la!  The Brushed Silver 2 3/8" XL Scalloped Circle is the perfect backdrop for this project.  OH - and lets not forget that Tinsel bow....adds that BLING that I love so much!  It's got wire in it - so it'll hold its shape too!

And how about the little touch to the top of my cocoa test tubes - I used the 3/4" Circle Punch to punch out the snowman and tied 1/8" Marina Mist Taffeta ribbon around each one.
