Framelits Dies Video & NEW Room Sneak Peek!!!

If you've been wondering where I am....well - I have GREAT news about my new stamping room - you remember - the one I started gutting back in September!!!!  I've been working like a dog trying to get it remodeled. Here's a little sneak peek:

I just can't hardly wait to show you my finished room!  I took out all the wood molding and carpeting...I've laid a laminate wood floor - built these shelves in the closet - painted the room 3 different colors - painted the ceiling...I painted all the molding white and installed the baseboards, window and door molding.  I have to paint the crown molding and install it (I have it all cut and ready).  I've recessed all the nails and filled them in with wood filler.  I still have to hit them with a little paint.  

When all that's done - I have to build my table...I'm still thinking pretty hard on this one. I ordered countertop in an "L" shape - I bought 2 filing cabinets - sanded them and repainted them white.  I'm planning on putting the file cabinets under the counter top on each end to hold my table up.  The part I'm struggling with is figuring out the leg in the front corner of my table...  I also ordered a piece of countertop to make a cabinet under one of my windows (YES - you can see I will have windows!)  So I have to build something to go under it.  You know I'll show you a ton of photos when I'm done!!!!

Technique Video!!!

This card was my "technique" for the Technique Tuesday class this week.  I just love this look - I receive a card using this technique from Tami White at Founder's Circle and had to give this a try.

Here's a close up of the frame.

Ingredients:

Stamps: Christmas Lodge; Delightful Dozen (Hostess)

Ink:  Cherry Cobbler

Accessories:  Big Shot; Designer Frames Embossing Folder; Snow Burst Embossing Folder; Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine; Cherry Cobbler Quilted Ribbon (5-1/2”); Dazzling Diamonds; 2-Way Glue Pen; Jingle Bells

Cardstock:

Cherry Cobbler 5-1/2 x 8-1/2

Whisper White - 2 @ 4 x 5-1/4 (front & inside) & 1-3/8 x 2

More Fun Folds & Chocolate Torte!!!

 
 
Here's a pretty card using the Fun Fold that I made the cupcake card with.  The cupcake card (see HERE) is a bigger card than the standard A2.  So my customer Kathy Sheldon modified my template to make an A2 size - THANKS KATHY!!! 

Here's what I came up with - all my stampers will be making this card on Monday 3/21 in Fond Du Lac, Thursday 3/24 & Monday 3/28 in Menasha!!!!  If you'd like to come make one - just pop me an email or call to register.  The class is free - just a $15 order for Stampin' Up! product is all that's requested!!!

 
I used Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter on the butterfly...and a little Dazzling Diamonds puts it over the top!  I love BLING!

 

I stamped the butterfly on my flower layer and again on a scrap.  Color and cut out the scrap, then mount it on the card with a Dimensional to give it a POP!

Chocolate Torte

 
I've had several requests for my Chocolate Torte Recipe....those that attended the Stamp Camp on March 5th were able to taste test this great dessert!

Crust:  1 1/2 C flour; 3/4 C Crisco; 3/4 C nuts (I use walnuts)

Mix like pie crust, pat down in 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes - cool.

Filling:  8 oz cream cheese (softened); 1 C powdered sugar; 1 small tub Cool Whip; 2 small instant chocolate puddings; 3 C milk

Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar & 1/2 the Cool Whip tub. Spread on cooled crust. You have to be careful when you do this - the crust likes to stick to the filling. Mix pudding & milk until thick and spread on top of cream cheese mixture.  Top with the remainder of the Cool Whip.  I like to shave some chocolate on top of mine to make it a little fancier!  It's a favorite at my house....Enjoy!

Fabric Flower Video!

 

OH MY....I've been missing for a little while...BUT I'm BACK!!!!  Here's a GREAT project that my stampers will be having fun with all month!!!  That's right - all month!  You can come make this fabulous card and two others with me on Monday (3/21 @ 6:30) in Fond Du Lac or in Menasha on 3/24 or 3/28 at 5:30 in Menasha - call or email to register. I made this card in three different colors that coordinate with the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper and matching Designer Fabric.

 

 

 

Ingredients: Stamps: Sweet Summer, Bring on the Cake  Ink:  Old Olive; VersaMark  Accessories:  Springtime Vintage DSP; Springtime Vintage Designer Fabric; Tulip Embossing Folder; Dimensionals; 1 3/8 Circle Punch; 1 1/4 Circle Punch; 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punch; Springtime Vintage Designer Buttons; 1/8 Vanilla Taffeta; Hot Glue Gun; Tasteful Trim Die; Big Shot  Cardstock Dimensions: I used Baja Breeze, Rose Red or Pink Pirouette cardstock for the base. Very Vanilla    4 1/4 x 3; DSP                  1/2" strips; Scraps:  Old Olive; Very Vanilla
