How stinkin' cute are these??? The Holiday Stocking Bigz die is not just about Christmas! I found these cards amoung the thousands of samples at the convention last week and knew I just had to share them with you!!! With a little altering - you can make the stocking die into a baby bootie or a cute little MARY JANE!

Card:Scrap Buffet this Satuday from 9am - 1pm at Trinity Lutheran in Menasha!!! The cost is $18 - come have some fun with us!
I know it's a little early to be thinking about Halloween...but how cute is this? I made this card for a swap at convention! I cut strips of whisper white card stock at angles, sponged them with Basic Gray ink and glued them to my card front. Easy peasie lemon squeezie!!! The Scallop Rectangle Clearlits die is often overlooked in the catalog - shown on page 191.
I used the new stamp set called Googly Ghouls - ADORABLE - and as of August 1st we will have adhesive-backed googly eyes!!!! They're $2.50 for 50!!!!! No more glue and dropping them all over the place - these are FABULOUS!!!! Remember - the googly eyes and Googly Ghouls stamp set will be available August 1st in the NEW Holiday Catalog!!!
Here's the inside of my card...I used the Delightful Dozen stamp set for my Halloween greeting.

This is a fun and easy card. I cut the Primrose Petals card base 4-1/4" x 11 - scored it at 5-1/2 and 2-3/4. Fold the card closed and then fold the front back to form your card base. The white inside layer is 4 x 5-1/4 - embossed on the Tulip folder. The Patio Party DSP is 2-1/2 x 4. The greeting layer starts at 4 x 2 and goes down by 1/4" increments. I love the font on the greeting - from the From the Heart stamp set shown below.
This is one of the cards from my Card:Scrap Buffet last month!!! There's another Buffet this coming Saturday from 9am - 1pm if you'd like to join us - just let me know!!!
Stamps: From the Heart Ink: Midnight Muse Accessories: Starfruit Stitched Ribbon; Elegant Butterfly Punch; Dimensionals; Tulips Embossing Folder; Big Shot Cardstock: Primrose Petals; Whisper White; Summer Starfruit; Patio Party DSP

This is one of the buildings in the Temple Square - in my previous blog post - it's the one that Linda and I are standing in front of. Isn't this pipe organ impressive?
Here's a shot so you can see the columns and pews...very interesting tidbits about them...the columns are wood painted to look like marble and the pews are actually white pine. You would swear they are oak - each woodgrain line is hand painted to look like oak!
Here's one of the cards you'll enjoy making next week at TECHNIQUE TUESDAY!!! Call or email to register.
I love this background stamp - called Pleasant Poppies - it's got so many possibilities. I stamped it with VersaMark ink and embossed it with Black embossing powder...then just colored it in with the Melon Mambo marker. SUPER EASY. I used the 1-1/4" square punch layered on top of the scallop square punch for the perfect combination. Speaking of "perfect" - the Perfectly Penned greeting set was "perfect!"
If you look real close at the photo - you can also see that I stamped the poppies on the Crumb Cake layer with VersaMark ink too - it added an interesting background.
Stamps: Pleasant Poppies; Perfectly Penned Ink: VersaMark; Gumball Green Accessories: Square Scallop Punch; 1-1/4" Square Punch; Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon; Dimensionals Cardstock: Gumball Green; Melon Mambo; Crumb Cake; Whisper White
Convention - Sunday
What a beautiful sight to wake up to - this was the view out the window of our hotel in Salt Lake City! It was an unusual day at convention for Linda and I...we woke up when ever we wanted...ate a leisurly breakfast and then headed to the Temple Square for a little sightseeing. No rushing around since our flight didn't depart until 5:30pm - YIPEE!!!
Here are some beautiful photos from the Temple Square...
This square is just beautiful!! I'll show you some more of our sightseeing tomorrow!
We had a very productive day on our last day of Convention. Here's Dawn Griffith demonstrating some fun and easy cards using ribbon techniques...can't wait to share these with you!!!
Here's one of her beautiful creations...now I have to get that stamp set!!!
And the FABULOUS RICHTAR - yes - that's Rich Jutkins - President of Stampin' Up! in the fortune booth...with Shelli feeding him stamps to give up the location of the next Stampin' Up! GRAND VACATION!!!! We are now working towards earning an all expense paid cruise in the Western Carribean!!! OMGosh - I've never been cruising in that area and YOU know how I LOVE tropical!!!! YIPEE!!!!
Right after that announcement - Shelli gave EVERYONE the MOVING FORWARD stamp set!!! This is the Ronald McDonald set - for every set that SU sells - they donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald Houses!!!!
And then - if things couldn't get any better - THEY DID!!! Linda won the PRIZE PATROL!!!!! She won a new stamp set, ribbon and sticky rounds coming out in the NEW Holiday catalog!!!!
We had so much fun....and here's what I look like after convention is all over with - LOL!
I'll share some more photos with you tomorrow...after I get home. We took a little sightseeing tour of the Temple Gardens in downtown Salt Lake this morning. We have a late flight this afternoon - it was just so much fun to be able to enjoy the sights of Salt Lake City on our own schedule.
