I think I completely forgot to share this beauty with you all....how could I?  This card was made for my workshops in Feb/March.

 

It uses an "Inlaid" embossing technique.  First you sponge color on your layer - stamp it - run it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and waaaa laaaa!!!!  Super simple!

I just had to share this photo with you...it's so cute!  If you have teenagers, you are probably aware that they can't just ask someone to a dance.  They make a big production out of it...and it better be CREATIVE!  Here's what Hailey came home to after work yesterday...fish tank, fish and all!

Elegant Double Embossing - SNEAK PEEK!!!

 
Sorry - I've been missing again - WHEW!  Lots going on here!  More on that later....

This photo doesn't do my card justice....it's soooo much prettier in real life!  We'll be making this card tomorrow at my Oshkosh classes (call or email if you'd like to come - WINK WINK ; - )

I used the NEW Strength & Hope stamp set - available May 1st in the Summer Mini Catalog.

This card uses an elegant DOUBLE EMBOSSING technique - here's a sample before I sponged on the Always Artichoke, Not Quite Navy & Soft Suede ink.  I stamped my images one at a time with VersaMark Ink on Glossy White cardstock.  Then dust little portions of the image with gold embossing powder...tap that off.  Now pour on your second color of embossing powder (I used silver).  The silver will only stick to where the gold "isn't" and then heat set.  Sponge on your ink colors....WAAA LAAA!!!!

In other news....my sister had her baby on Saturday.  It was a crazy ordeal!!!  She got to the hospital in an ambulance with only 1 minute before Jasmin made her entrance - delivered by an EMT!!!  Here's my newest neice - it's amazing how alert a newborn is when they aren't all drugged up:

Come on - REALLY?

 

This would be a wonderful photo if we were talking about December, January, February....but this is from yesterday...ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????  We just had tornados on last week!  I have had countless classes, clubs and workshops cancelled this winter because of SNOW - but April 19th....REALLY????  I love snow - it's so pretty - but honestly, Mother Nature, I've really had enough!  Our lawn was green this morning....

OK - done with my rant....I just had to share this card with you.  It's from Stampin' Up! and it arrived last week.  It's extra special because it's an invitation to dinner with....Rich Jutkins, President of Stampin' Up!!!!!  HOLY COW - I'm so honored...and of course I accepted right away!  I and a guest (not sure if that will be Hailey or Steve yet - they are competing for this honored spot for the next 32 days) will be dining with Rich on the Alaska Cruise!!!

 

What a GREAT card for a dinner invitation!  The chair image is from the Have a Seat stamp set on page 139. And the scallops on the bottom are from the Tasteful Trim Die - I just love that!!!

On another funny note - Hailey has a job now (and she made the DANCE team!!! - just a little update there - and she's been practicing with the soccer team - not playing - her knee is not ready for that) here in town.  She calls tonight asking me to come get her.  Her car is rear wheel drive and is pretty scary in the snow.  Steve and I head over there (he wanted to drive it home) - I'm giggling - yea....it's still there!!!  He couldn't get it out of the parking spot...LOL!  And I get to hear once again how he "hates that car!"  He smashed it into his truck this winter...just pulling it back in the driveway after a snowstorm - to the tune of $2400 damage - LOL!  We will definately have to get snow tires next winter!

Spinner Fun

 

Well...it's been awhile again!  Sorry for my absence....when you don't see any blog posts from me - you can just automatically assume that things are crazy here...LOL!  I've been gone the last couple weekends - don't get me wrong - I love to go away...but it really messes with the amount of time that I have to show you great stuff!  I've been up north the last couple weekends (and will be again for Easter) visiting my mom & dad.  The first weekend was for a Saturday workshop - this last weekend was to celebrate my mom's birthday - YIPEE!!!!  We almost lost her a few years ago and I cherish every minute!!!  So I've been consumed with cutting cardstock and entering orders and all that stuff that has to get done before I can take the time to share everything - and you know how I LOVE to share!!!

Here's a fun card that I made for my monthly Technique Club...I received a fun fold card in a swap and just had to recreate this for my class.  I happened to have a lot of the Wicked Fun Speciatly Designer Series Paper left over from Halloween projects....and it worked perfect for my masculine birthday card...not just a Halloween product - I love that about our Designer Series Paper!!!

 
This card is so cool because is stands up all by itself and folds flat for mailing!  And you have to LOVE those Spinner Hands!!!

All you do is cut your base cardstock (I used Cajun Craze) at 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 5-1/2", 6-3/4", 8", 9-1/4" and 10-1/2".  Fold on all score lines and you'll see how you get the little box at the bottom of the card!  Add your layers (dimensions below) and waaa laaa!

I received this card from Diane Tritz in a swap and just fell in love with it!!!!  It's a Twisted Easel card....super easy and obviously spectacular!

 

Techniques is one of my favorite classes!

Summer Mini Sneak Peek!!!

 

Ohhhhhhhhhh does this make you yearn for summer?  Looks delicious!  Here's a sneak peek at one of the stamp sets in the Summer Mini Catalog - coming to you later this month!!!  It's called Sunny Fun...and the Dazzling Diamonds makes my mouth water!

Here's the front of the card. I ran it through the texture plate that reminds me of an ice cream cone texture and added a big button from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

 
Here's the super fun part - it's called a TWISTED EASEL card!  Your cardstock is 11" x 4 1/4" - scored at 5 1/2".  Then you take the front of the card and score again from the top right corner to the bottom left corner - WAAAA LAAA!

It tucks behind your greeting on the inside for a "twisted easel" look!

And now for a little craziness from my neck of the woods!  We were hit with a huge storm last night...made a real mess around my city - but nobody was hurt!!!  Here's a little destruction from my back yard:

 
It knocked out a window, tipped the moped and electric scooter over (lucky the picnic table was in the way or they'd all be in the pool), pulled our pool cover off (dumping all the debri from winter in) and knocked down several of our fence sections...pretty minor compared to alot of our neighbors!
