2011 Summer Mini Catalog

Another Sneak Peek!

Here's another Sneak Peek card for you...using the Just Add Cake DSP (shown below).  I was playing around the other day, trying to come up with a swap card....  I love these colors together - Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade...so bright and cheerful!  Once again - I used the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Flower Punch.....it's super!!!  I used it for the bow on the top of the present and also as a layer behind the "wish big" greeting - it fits perfectly behind the 1" Circle Punch!!!

The "wish big" in this greeting is from the NEW Pennant Parade stamp set - available on July 1st!!!

Just Add Cake DSP:

And now.....drum roll....the NEW In-Colors!!!!  I can hardly wait to start playing with these!

I have to share something funny with you.  As I was creating this card...I grabbed a Poppy Parade card that was laying on my table...you know, just to lay my images on the back of it so I could see if that was the color I wanted to go with.  Well in the process of my excitement...I forgot that this was a card and I actually stamped the greeting on it and glued all my layers down.  Imagine my surprise when I picked it up to ooo and aaaa over it and found this:

Here's that Punch AGAIN!

Here's another card that I made to show all the GREAT ways you can use the NEW Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch!!!!  This is a really easy card - I just stamped the image in VersaMark and embossed it with Black Embossing Powder...then sponged Poppy Parade over it....really makes that image pop!

Here's a close up of the punch - I used it as a border around the circle greeting by adhereing four punched flowers on the back of the circles.  Then I popped it up on Dimesionals!  Waaaa Laaaa!

Fabulous Florets is available in Clear (123027 - $17.95) or Wood (123025 - $23.95):

Another Blossom Punch Card

Another card that screams SUMMER!!!!  I love scooters...Hailey has one and I've been know to ride it once in awhile...although it needs a new battery...we might go pick one up today if I can get my butt in gear and get ready for my class!

Here's another GREAT alternative to using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch....that's what I used in the Melon Mambo around the scooter circle!

Stamps: On The Grow, Tiny Tags; Ink:  Black StazOn, Pacific Point; Cardstock:  Beyond the Garden DSP (1-1/2 x 5-1/2), Whisper White (3" Circle), Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo; Accessories:  Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Aqua Painter, Melon Mambo, Pacific Point, Wild Wasabi Markers, Dimensionals Filigree Brad, Rhinestone Brad, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue, Jewelry Tag Punch, White Satin Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Watercolor Crayons - Gray & Really Rust

Here's a close up of the Filigree Brad with a Rhinestone Brad on top of it - I used a Sharpie Marker to change the color of the "diamond!"  Another cool technique!

The card is much more "BLINGIE" in person - with some Dazzling Diamonds on the white areas of the scooter.

If you don't have this punch yet (GASP!) you can order one in my online store below!

Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch

Happy Monday!!!!  I spent the day designing cards using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch for my TEAM meeting tonight.  Here's one of them... We all know how to use the flower punch for a "flower."  But it's so cool in many different ways!

Here I used it as a border around the Small Oval Punch (retiring).

This is how I cut the punched flower to adhere it on the back of the oval.

The flowers from the Fabulous Florets stamp set were stamped using a baby wipe and Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight reinkers - a very cool technique!

Once the flowers were stamped - I used the Postage Stamp Punch and layered them over 1-1/4" square punched Basic Black cardstock.

Here are the NEW punches:

Pool Fun!!!

What a perfect card to go with our party today!!!  This is from the Sunny Fun stamp set in the Summer Mini catalog.  And another card that everyone made in May at the stamp camp...we used 4 stamp sets from the mini catalog and made 4 cards with each one - HOW FUN!!!

Here's a close up of the sand castle....my downline, Katie Resop, emailed a card very similar to this one and I had to make one too!  THANKS Katie!  The sand castle is made with the Designer Label Punch - I layered a retangular piece on top of it and then cut the bottom off with a curve in it so it looks like it's kinda buried in the sand.  All the edges are sponged to make it pop and the oval "door" is the small oval punch and masking.  The clouds on the card are the Cupcake Punch....

I made the sun with the Large Star punch - doubled up under a polka dot circle from the Brights DSP Paper Stack.

The small oval punch and large star punch are retiring!!!!  You can get them before they're gone here:

And now for some fun party photos....what a perfect day for a pool party...

Me and niece Jasmin...man - do I need a tan!!!

Grandbabies Molli & Andi...it's so funny...Andi calls me Auntie Kelly - LOL!  I'm OK with that!

Summer is Officially HERE!!!!

SUMMER has officially arrived at the Acheson house!!!  Today was a super busy day...well for some of us...well for my hubby! LOL!  I'm having a hard time getting my MOJO going afer coming back from vacation...urgh!   But anywho...the cover came off "MY" pool last weekend...and then hubby was out of town all week for work...urgh!  Yesterday he started on the mess - when the tornados and "straight-line" winds came through a few weeks ago - all the straps on our pool cover popped and it picked up and let the wind suck tons of leaves and pine needles into "MY" pool.  What a mess!  He vacuumed and scooped and I headed for the pool store.  Dumped a case of chlorine in and a "magic" bottle of algecide - gets rid of the green.  Yesterday there were piles of black junk (leaves) in the bottom and the water had a green tinge.  This morning when I walked out the back door it was GORGEOUS!!!  He got up at 4 am (CRAZY - I know!) and vacummed and scooped for 3 hours (this might sound like I got up at 7 am...nooooooo!).  The pool was a beautiful blue....it was amazing!  So I made breakfast for my HERO and my daughter...who was also out there yesterday vacuuming.  Then I went grocery shopping (ouch) and searching for hanging flower pots to bring my backyard to life.  No luck on the flowers....got lots of food.  I got all the patio furniture out of the shed, found the cushions and set up our summer retreat.  I can hardly wait to show you photos of tomorrow....because we texted all the kids, some friends and we're having a "Pool Opening Party/Cookout" tomorrow!!!!  Which means I need to get my butt in gear and get my stamping work done tonight!  And go to the grocery store again tomorrow...I knew I should've picked out the party pack of brats instead of the single family one!  DANG!

So I wanted to share this card with you...because it screams SUMMER!  We made this at the May Stamp Camp - it was one of 16 cards!  The Sunny Fun stamp set in the Summer Mini catalog is soooo fun fun!

I love the "Flower Fusion" die on this card....and the way the flower petals stick up just a little.  Once the layers were glued in place, I pulled the petals up just a little bit.

Since I don't have any pool photos to share with you today...I ran across this photo.  I really wish Kyle & Rudy would try to relax a little!

Hope your weekend is going GREAT too!  See you tomorrow...

Thanks for stopping by....

Leavin' on a jet plane....

It's 12:50 am right now - I have to get up in 3 1/2 hours - but I just had to get one last post in before I hit the sack!  I wanted to THANK all of you for your support, your friendship and sharing your love of stamping with me!!!  I would never be going on this fabulous cruise to Alaska without your support!!!  THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!

I'm hoping to share some photos with you while I'm away...yes I'm dragging my beloved laptop with me...it's one of those things I just can't leave home without! LOL!

Since I'll be sailing all week...I wanted to share a couple cards that I made...that are sailing too!

Don't you just LOVE this new Open Sea stamp set?  Here's another version:

Are you lovin' that background...I made it!!!  I stamped the images in Basic Gray ink on Basic Gray cardstock.  Then I brayered my Perfect Details texturz plate (pg 215 #115962 $3.95) with Basic Gray ink and ran my cardstock through the Big Shot.  It's just that simple!!!  Give it a try - you'll love it!

Here are some of the products I used:

The Open Sea #123030 $26.95 Wood or #123032 $18.95 Clear
