And another GREAT project from Stampin' Up! using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. Carrie Cudney is from the Home Office and she does a great job explaining hints to make this cute and simple project. I can see gifts for Mother's Day, birthdays, hostess gifts....OH MY!
Here's the card holder and a couple of the cards she features in the video.
Grab your seat and see how wonderfully simple this is:
If you can't see this video in your email - go to my blog to watch it: http://astampabove.typepad.com
Here are a few of the products used to make these projects:
Attic Boutique Designer Series Paper - #125407 $10.95 - This paper matches Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight, Very Vanilla & Whisper White:
I think I completely forgot to share this beauty with you all....how could I? This card was made for my workshops in Feb/March.
It uses an "Inlaid" embossing technique. First you sponge color on your layer - stamp it - run it through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and waaaa laaaa!!!! Super simple!
There's only 3 more days left with the BEAUTIFUL Occasions Mini Catalog - that's where you'll find the elegant Nature Walk stamp set....
You can view the Occasions Mini Catalog here:

I just had to share this photo with you...it's so cute! If you have teenagers, you are probably aware that they can't just ask someone to a dance. They make a big production out of it...and it better be CREATIVE! Here's what Hailey came home to after work yesterday...fish tank, fish and all!
Well...it's been awhile again! Sorry for my absence....when you don't see any blog posts from me - you can just automatically assume that things are crazy here...LOL! I've been gone the last couple weekends - don't get me wrong - I love to go away...but it really messes with the amount of time that I have to show you great stuff! I've been up north the last couple weekends (and will be again for Easter) visiting my mom & dad. The first weekend was for a Saturday workshop - this last weekend was to celebrate my mom's birthday - YIPEE!!!! We almost lost her a few years ago and I cherish every minute!!! So I've been consumed with cutting cardstock and entering orders and all that stuff that has to get done before I can take the time to share everything - and you know how I LOVE to share!!!
Here's a fun card that I made for my monthly Technique Club...I received a fun fold card in a swap and just had to recreate this for my class. I happened to have a lot of the Wicked Fun Speciatly Designer Series Paper left over from Halloween projects....and it worked perfect for my masculine birthday card...not just a Halloween product - I love that about our Designer Series Paper!!!
This card is so cool because is stands up all by itself and folds flat for mailing! And you have to LOVE those Spinner Hands!!!
All you do is cut your base cardstock (I used Cajun Craze) at 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 5-1/2", 6-3/4", 8", 9-1/4" and 10-1/2". Fold on all score lines and you'll see how you get the little box at the bottom of the card! Add your layers (dimensions below) and waaa laaa!
Ingredients - Stamps: Take a Spin; Curly Cute Ink: Rich Razzleberry Accessories: Game Spinners; Paper Piercer; Square Scallop Duo Die; Big Shot
Cardstock Dimensions: Cajun Craze 4-1/4 x 11 – scored at 5-1/2; 6-3/4, 8, 9-1/4, 10-1/2 & 3-1/2 x 3-1/2; Basic Black 2-5/8 x 2-5/8 & 5/8 x 3-1/8; Whisper White 3 x 1/2; DSP 1 x 4 & 4 x 4

Here's a pretty card using the Fun Fold that I made the cupcake card with. The cupcake card (see HERE) is a bigger card than the standard A2. So my customer Kathy Sheldon modified my template to make an A2 size - THANKS KATHY!!!
Here's what I came up with - all my stampers will be making this card on Monday 3/21 in Fond Du Lac, Thursday 3/24 & Monday 3/28 in Menasha!!!! If you'd like to come make one - just pop me an email or call to register. The class is free - just a $15 order for Stampin' Up! product is all that's requested!!!
I used Watercolor Crayons and an Aqua Painter on the butterfly...and a little Dazzling Diamonds puts it over the top! I love BLING!
I stamped the butterfly on my flower layer and again on a scrap. Color and cut out the scrap, then mount it on the card with a Dimensional to give it a POP!
Here's the template for this fun fold - it's really simple!
Here's a video to show you how easy this card is:
Here are some of the products I used:

Chocolate Torte
I've had several requests for my Chocolate Torte Recipe....those that attended the Stamp Camp on March 5th were able to taste test this great dessert!
Crust: 1 1/2 C flour; 3/4 C Crisco; 3/4 C nuts (I use walnuts)
Mix like pie crust, pat down in 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes - cool.
Filling: 8 oz cream cheese (softened); 1 C powdered sugar; 1 small tub Cool Whip; 2 small instant chocolate puddings; 3 C milk
Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar & 1/2 the Cool Whip tub. Spread on cooled crust. You have to be careful when you do this - the crust likes to stick to the filling. Mix pudding & milk until thick and spread on top of cream cheese mixture. Top with the remainder of the Cool Whip. I like to shave some chocolate on top of mine to make it a little fancier! It's a favorite at my house....Enjoy!
OH MY....I've been missing for a little while...BUT I'm BACK!!!! Here's a GREAT project that my stampers will be having fun with all month!!! That's right - all month! You can come make this fabulous card and two others with me on Monday (3/21 @ 6:30) in Fond Du Lac or in Menasha on 3/24 or 3/28 at 5:30 in Menasha - call or email to register. The class is FREE - just a minimum $15 order.
I made this card in three different colors that coordinate with the Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper and matching Designer Fabric.

Very Vanilla 4 1/4 x 3; DSP 1/2" strips; Scraps: Old Olive; Very Vanilla
Check out my video to see exactly how I made this flower:
Here's the great Die I used for the flower!!!
Heading to Chicago today...going Prom dress shopping at "Peaches" - weird name for a Prom dress store....gosh I hope there's no pole!!!! Wish me luck!
I completely forgot to share these cards with you back in January. That's when the BIG GUY turned the BIG 50!!!! HEE HEE. This is the card that I made for him. Will you look at all the curly hair? He shaves his head now - hard to believe that our daughter, Hailey, got her beautiful curls from the big bald guy...HEE HEE!
I just love the First Edition Designer Series Paper - it's perfect for an "old guy" card too! You know - that VINTAGE look! HEE HEE AGAIN! I used the Scalloped Envelope Die for a perfect little pocket to insert a gift card to his favorite bow shop.
I took some wire and spiraled it around a pen to make springs under the "50's" - I really wanted THAT to be the main focal point of the card....yes...I'm rubbing that "50" thang in real good!
Here are the BIRTHDAY BOYS! Every year we get together with Steve's best friends - all high school buddies - for a birthday celebration. They all have birthdays within a week or so of each other - pretty cool!
Last Monday - when I announced the winner of my monthly card contest - I also announced that I would be giving away BLOG CANDY: HERE!!! Everyone that left a comment on the post would be entered for a chance to win the exclusive hostess set from the Occasions Mini Catalog shown below.
