Glitter Window

I {Heart} Hearts!!!!  I love this NEW stamp set.  Here's another card we'll be making in my class next Wednesday and Thursday.

I punched the large heart out first, then used the Stamp-a-ma-Jig (one of my FAVORITE tools) to stamp the BE MINE BE MINE BE MINE....perfectly.  Put some clear packing tape behind the heart punch out with the sticky side to the front of the card.  Sprinkle with DAZZLING DIAMONDS GLITTER and TAA DAA!!!  Easy peasy!

  • Adhere this strip to the platter lid and insert through slit;
  • Take a small strip of cardstock and adhere it to the back of the stripgoing the opposite way (like a "T") to make sure it doesn't come out of the slit when it's pulled up;
  • Punch the bottom of the Real Red layer with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch;
  • Be careful when you adhere the white card front to the red layer - keep the adhesive away from your secret message or it won't work!

Party Favors!

How stinkin' cute are these????  OK - so I had this brainstorm late last night.  I had to go to Hobby Lobby this morning to drop off my class bulletin board...which should have been there last Wednesday..but that's another story!  Anyways, last night as I finished my "Cards for Kids" cards - I thought up the idea of making some Valentine party favors for my Computer Training Downline meeting today.  So I picked up some cute suckers, M&M's and floral foam.  Rushed home and the cardstock started flying!!!

Do you want the directions to this SUPER SIMPLE box?  OF COURSE YOU SILLY WOMAN!!!!

  1. First I cut my floral foam - it came in a block that was 2 1/2" wide - so I cut it at 2 1/2" and had a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" block.
  2. Real Red Cardstock cut 7" x 10 1/2"
  3. Score with the 7" edge at the top of your paper cutter - at 2 1/2"
  4. Turn your cardstock and score with the 10 1/2" edge at the top of your paper cutter - at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10"
  5. Cut where shown in the photo below - apply a little Sticky Strip to the 1/2" tab and WAAAA LAAAA!!!  Embellish as desired!
  6. Insert the floral foam in your box and cut a piece of cardstock 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" to cover the foam.  I punched some holes in the cardstock so I could insert the sucker sticks.

I also made the little cards with the Heart Shaped Sweet Treat Cups.  I punched various shaped hearts from the Sending Love Designer Paper and sprinkled them all over the table too!  All these items made our table a little more festive!  We drew names and the winners took them home!!!!

And of course - I had to take a photo!

Join My Secret Stamper Group!!!

Who loves getting handmade cards in the mail…how much fun would it be to get a couple every month???  Even more fun to get it from your SECRET STAMPER!!!!!  If you’d like to join – please read on:

Here’s how it works:   You need to send two (2) hand-stamped cards per month.  Please send them separately, not in the same envelope.  Your two cards per month can include birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. It is optional to send more than two cards a month.  It is also optional to send small items, such as stamped images, papers, patterns, stamping supplies, etc. as gifts.  This card exchange will run from February through June.

To keep it a secret, you don’t sign your name on the card – you sign it “Secret Stamper.”  Please use a post-it note or piece of paper so the card can be recycled!!!  Make sure to add an extra $0.20 if you think your card will get caught in the postal machines or has any bulk in it.  These get returned to me by the PO and I have to pay the extra postage.

In July, 2010 we will have a Secret Stamper Reveal Party where you can reveal yourself to your Secret Stamper.  Each stamper should bring their own beverage and a dish to pass.  We’ll bring all of the cards received for a show-and-tell.  If you are unable to attend, you can reveal yourself in your last card in June.

If you would like to join in the fun, please complete and email the form below to me by January 31st.  I’ll keep the original form for my records and send a copy to your Secret Stamper so they have some ideas for your cards.  Just copy the info below into a new email – fill it in and email back to me with SECRET STAMPER in the subject line.  Make sure you get a confirmation from me that I’ve received it too.

If you have any stamping friends who are interested, please forward this to them and they join us.  Ask them to be sure to let me know who “referred” them so I don’t match the two of you up!

Last, but NOT LEAST:  Please don’t sign up if you are not going to follow through with your commitment.

Deadline to sign up is January 27th.

Copy and paste this info into an email to me ( - use SECRET STAMPER in the subject line:

Haitian Diaster Relief!!!!

ScreenHunter_01 Jan. 21 09.44

In the past, when terrorists attacked the Twin Towers, when a tsunami struck Indonesia, when a hurricane destroyed New Orleans, and when wildfires ravaged Australia, Stampin' Up! demonstrators have stepped forward and showed their commitment to making a difference in the lives of others --especially when disaster strikes and the need is greatest. So it was not surprising that so many demonstrators have contacted the home office in the past week asking what the plan is.

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. As a Stampin' Up! customer, you can help make a difference in the lives of those who continue to suffer from the effects of this earthquake by purchasing, and more importantly selling, the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set.

From now until February 28, 2010, $2 from every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set purchased will be donated to the American Red Cross' Haiti Relif and Dvelopment Fund. The Red Cross is already well-established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.
