Welcome to my new blog!!!!! This is the first post that I'm making on this baby...I can hardly wait to start exploring and set up some SUPER new stuff here!! Thanks so much to Michele Laycock for the design and Heather Wright-Porto for transferring everything over for me - WOW - did that save me some serious headaches!!!
Here's a really cute - easy gift idea:
My wonderful friend, Denise Krueger, stopped by yesterday to deliver a big plate of holiday goodies and a couple gifts...one was a necklace that she made with beads and tubing - very cool - and the other was a Bookmark Thong - like this one! WELL....I just HAD to jump right on that one!!! I'm giving my 91 year old grandma a book for Christmas and this was just perfect for her too!!!
The bookmark is about 16" long and I just used some beads that I had on hand with hemp string...which is all I had on hand too. I love the poem that accompanies this little jewel...here it is:
When you need
To mark a book,
And go along your way
This lovely little
Book thong
Will hold your spot
All day.
Just read until
You’ve finished
And what do you suppose,
Open up that book
Real wide
And in the crack
It goes!!!!
I thought this was hilarious! That's what I think of the thong underwear - "butt floss!"
I used the Big Shot Matchbox Die to make the box...now if you don't have one of these (GASP!) they are so easy and fun...remember the candy gift certificate I made last week (thanks to Dawn) - there are so many things you can do with the little box!!!! I LOVE IT!!!
Thanks for stopping by...

this is so wonderful; I've started to make bookmarks for olerf folk & maybe me, for that special book you might receive for a gift!. TFS!!!

Thanks for that great little verse. I had not long ago bought a book thong and have been gathering materials to make some. I now have a lovely little collection of book thongs ready for gift giving and was wondering about how to present them. After finding your blog with this verse is all I need to finish them off. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
